Once upon a time, most bikes had protection for their precious fork seals, usually gaiters...(You know, the rubber pleated tubes over the exposed fork tube)
Most manufactures got away from that years ago...but after you changed a few leaky fork seals, you wonder, "Why?"
In BMW K-bike community, gaiters and their cousin the fork guard are very popular...before fitting a pair of Traxxion Fork Guards to my K-bike, I checked the fit on my GS1100E...
This week I ordered another set and installed them on the 1100E...
They fit quite well and look quite good, although they are not made for the GS...
The screw is a bit long and I found something better to use around the garage...
Shipping was quick...I ordered on the 19th and received them today, the 22nd.
I will admit they are a little pricey...$24.95, plus $12.78 shipping. But let's face it...if your seals last twice as long, it's worth it.
