Well my bike will be pained a different color when it's all road worth and such because the major mechanicals come first! I'm trying to come up with paint schemes for the bike! My friend justin said to paint it flat black, black with lime green, or a dark midnight blue. My friend danny said to paint it something bright like some kind of yellow or a red. I like their ideas and such but i want to do something simple but catches the eye. I saw one bike in the "post pictures of your bike" thread and it was a denim blue with a cream stripe on the side. That I loved but i dont want to copy someones bike. I was thinking maybe a flame torch red with an egg shell stripe on the side where the suzuki emblems go. Really i'm open to suggestions. Please send some ideas my way, they will be greatly appreciated :)

PS- I love this forum

If I were you, I'd do the same as what I did. I checked out various forums dedicated to custom painting and incorporated some of the ideas I found on them. In my case, I'm repainting my GK in 2 shaeds of blue with one blue going into the other in the form of flames. I'm 1/2 way through the project and already thinking of other ideas I'd like to have tried. One in particular is based on the theme in the attached (hopefully) picture.

I'm fond of flat black myself.

If it was my bike that you liked, I'd be flattered if you copied it. If it was someone else's, I'm sure they would be flattered as well.

paint schemes

Guys,
Out of desperation I googled GS850GN, I came upon a site that was primarily Euro-spec bikes....I had to dig deep into the site and found the Euro and a US spec version. My problem is that my color has been long gone for many a year. Mine was marble ontario blue. Years back the tank seemed to be coming aart from the inside down the middle it bubbled up as if the metal had cpntaminaton prior to paint....without paint a formulae I painted it black. I really haven't been happy with this finnish and with the addition of a SportTourer I have begun a frame in resto of my old buddy. Mine had the Vetter with lowers and a tall w/shield...first thing off.
After getting the new bike I set my GS up for storage....and now I'm going in reverse...the fuel turned to gunk and I appear to have some tank issues....nothing POR15 can't handle....
The carbs weren't thay bad, they are back together and I'm replacing the fuel line for gp....I had aquired an 8" light for an 1100E and it looks good where it is....Some other issues I've had were lights out on the dash....I am going to replace them all while back is off meters. This like every project I have ever done has had a unique thing happen...if I gigure 6 months it takes 12,if I figure $500. it takes a thousand.....so I am going to be in no real hurry to set up a deadline or even worry about costs.....I would try to post some pics but even on lowest settings on my camera the files are to large ....somehow...but if I ever figure it out I'll post up for others to see......I've had this ole boy a long time and it deserves this fix{resto} it's getting.....
