valvetrain noise?

Wondering if this sounds familiar or identifiable to anyone--loudest in the vicinity of #3 exhaust--at 1200 RPMs occurrence is about 150 / minute. I'll pull the valve cover for a look soon but thought I'd poll the wise heads here in the meantime.

Valve clearances should be good as it hasn't been that long since I did them (maybe 2-3K miles?).

If you look in your owner's manual, they are supposed to be checked every 3000 miles. :-\\\

Ha thanks. Probably hasn't been quite that much, but it's due for a lot more than that anyway, and will be going under the knife next winter latest, I think. Since I bought the VFR nothing else has been getting extended miles on the clock...
