If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

What forks are these?

I picked up some cheap forks on craigslist the guy wasn't sure what they are off of.

Bearings match my steering stem :
Upper: 25 x 47 x 15
Lower: 30 x 55 x 17

37 mm tubes
Dual brakes
Offset axle
brake mounts 75mm center to center
air caps
Bottom of the triple says 'x433'
lower tubes have 'x4331r'
appear to be same length as my 550 forks but a little bit wider ( I'm guessing for the extra brake?)

the guy had a set from a 550, a 650, and an 850 but wasn't sure which was which. Looking through a chart I see a bunch of 83-85 550s with 37mm tubes, the 83 katana 650, and a handful of 850's as well. anyone recognize em? he thought they were either the 550 or 650 ones.

The leading axle narrows it down some.

Could be '80-'81 750E but with the chrome, I think some "L" model. 37mm tubes for a 1000/1100. 35mm for a 750 or smaller "L".
Wand my Katana forks instead?

There's nothing wrong with my old forks, was just day dreaming about maybe putting dual brakes up front when I saw these forks. Only $20 not a huge loss if I don't end up using them. Thanks though.
Caliper mounts are 75mm center to center

The additional mounting bosses above the ones for the brakes must be for anti-dive units?

Which L models had Anti-dive?

Or some other mounts of sorts?
Interesting. Maybe fender brace mounts but have yet to see another bike with those extra mounts.
G

No, the ones below the fender mounts, they look similar to the caliper mounts except smaller.

I saw those after some posting. Are they on both fork legs??? Since the right side isn't pictured.
So, have no idea but don't think they are for any anti-dive. At least not in the normal sense.

I think they are just fender mounts? I gotta go back to work later i can try and get a decent picture. both sides are the same from what I see:

No, the ones on this picture. Looks like they are only on one fork leg. What the heck are they?

Interesting. They are on one side only. I have seen a lot, but never like that. And there is another boss, just below the dust cover. Maybe they are just for decoration? As there does not seem to be any anti-dive valving nor some kind of pivot lever.
Don't know what to say now. Are they 35mm or 37mm or something else?
G

ok awesome. when you say 'l forks' I'm guessing that means 'gl, el, ld' etc etc anything with an L in it right?
looking through the 850 manual it would make sense ot me if these are from an 850 glt, its got the leading axle, air preload and dual calipers with a 37mm tube
