What kind of master cylinder is on this 850?

I really like what the guys over at Tarmac did with the bars/levers/headlight on their GS850 build. I like the mirrors as well.

I wanted to clean up the tree under the headlight on my bike and I like how the brake lines are routed and split from the reservoir area instead of down by the tree. What kind of master cylinder is that? I think it says Nissin on it, but not positive. Is this hard to do?

However, I more intrigued by the fittings. Maybe it has nothing to do with the cylinder and instead has to do with the fittings coming right out of the reservoir? See how they are split here? If my master cylinder is good, then maybe I can achieve this look by just changing the brake line fittings?

That's an interesting master cylinder. I can't recall seeing a mirror mount coming directly off one before. That is certainly one way to clean up the controls, but I'd have concerns about knocking the master cylinder around should the mirror take a hard hit. Might not make a difference, but the thought is there. The lines on it look have a European feel.

Others have gone with a double banjo, with two lines at the master. There are at least a few threads on here covering that aspect. I think most do it in conjunction with getting rid of the splitter at triple tree. Claims of better feel and ease of bleeding have been noted.

Getting rid of the splitter at the tree is exactly what I'd like to do. Thanks for the input, I'll do some searching.
