A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

This fairing is perfect for my bike. Does anyone know what brand, kind it is and where I might find one?
Thanks

try Lockhart or Air Tech

Wow, tried both of those manufacturers and found nothing similar. Tried a dozen other manufacturers and also came up empty. Just my luck, fall in love with something I can't have :(. Maybe I'll just go with the Dunstall look cafe fairing.

Thanks:confused:

Bubba I think that, unless i am wrong, is simply an Emgo, or Viper or whatever fairing you would find on Ebay or any other parts supplier that may call them a "cafe" fairing that has been cut down to the owners liking. They are made of ABS, so with a dremel you could go to town and come up with a pretty nice result. I had one of those fairings on my 1100G for a bit. The fairing itself was nice, but the windscreen that came with it was flimsy and developed stress cracks around the screws. Eventually i just snapped it off. I still have the fairing, and if you can find a windscreen to fit it, lemme know and you can have it for shipping cost. The windscreen shouldnt be too difficult to locate. It mounts easily, just with some L brackets that get bolted on to the headlamp ears. Orrr if you are in no hurry, I can use the one i have here to draw a mould from, and with some direction of what youd like, we could modify the mould and probably make one out of fibreglass in a relatively short amount of time. I have a buddy who is an expert glass man (does the body work for the Miss Budweiser hydrofoil/jetboat whatever) and we are in the design stages of starting a lil custom fiberglass biz that would revolve around making replica side covers for old UJMs (zooks to start with) so this would be another facet we could delve into .

Looks pretty close to this http://www.amazon.com/LOCKHART-CAFE-FAIRING-HEADLIGHT-107445/dp/B000GROHH4

Sorry meant to post this. Is this what you had in mind?

That's the Dunstall Cafe fairing, very close (and probably the one I'll end up getting). The one I'm looking for has a slanted screen rather than the bubble and note those cut-outs on the side for the turn signals.

Thanks for lookin' though.

TCK

If you had a pic of that fairing, that would be great.

A custom fairing would be sweet but I'm thinkin' low-dough and though I'm sure you guys wouldn't charge an arm and a leg for a fairing, I still couldn't justify the cost. Get that side cover biz going first before you start delving :).

I can't believe how hard it is to find that exact fairing, or even close, on any of the big dealers sites .

Thanks

Almost identical to the $40.00 Emgo fairing on my bike... A guy on ebay sells them.

Bubba, that is looking close to a knockoff of the Shoei FM-5. I have one for my bike, purchased from JC Whitney back in the 80s. here is a side pic

It is actually wider than the one your show, with good hand protection. I have had mine for 20+ years and the windshield is still good. I have since acquired an actual Shoei FM5 which will go on the bike one of these days. The FM3 was bigger and smoother on top (lol, have one of those too but no windshield). I can maybe get a head-on pic this week if you want, let me know.

For future reference, this is another site that has a lot of fairing and general streetfighter stuff. Good vendor, too.

I don't think they have what you're looking for, though.

OK, so I'm not TCK, but I had my camera ready in West Virginia. :-\\\

Had to look through almost 900 pictures to find a couple that included TCK's bike. Here is the best I could find:
