So im going to have to split the carbs see if its a o-ring inside there that perished. Put it back together then have fun syncing the carbs again...

As far as I know its the original carbs mikuni carbs... my 79 gs750 also has the mikuni carbs. If not the original its the carbs i gotvwith the bike and they work... I put them on my 750 to check for leaks and well i found some leaks...idled great and reved clean... until it started *@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$ing out petrol.Comment

Those carbs are assembled incorrectly. The air screw bosses are supposed to face the outside of the bike, not inside like shown.
Secondly, Suzuki GS carbs use a center feed fuel inlet, between carbs 2 and 3. The fuel feed as shown is like that of Kawasaki KZ carbs.
Do these carbs have both pilot air screws and pilot fuel screws? If so, they are GS carbs. If they are either air or fuel, but not both, then they are KZ carbs.
Oh, and those carbs use the tiny little fuel Tee's like KZ carbs. They are made from rubber coated zinc. You will need to get a new set, since there are no O-rings on them.Last edited by Nessism; 02-27-2023, 01:35 PM.Ed

Carbs laying in the garage for now ill examine them on my next off day and add more pictures. Thanks alot for the information this will help alot for when i split them and order the parts. Those are the carbs i got with the bike. Like i said as assembled in the pictures they ran good idled smooth reved clean. Just the leak that came up... the carbs have been standing a solid few years. Thats why i thought maybe it could be a O-ring. Ill uplpad pictures when i split it.Comment

Those ports are for carb syncing with a gauge. While this video doesn't exactly get the job done, Urban Monk give a good idea of how it's supposed to work.

So i finally got a quick moment to split the carbs and get the seal out This is what poped out on the other side the leaking side didnt have anything left. So when it comes to a replacement part. Do i get a o-ring or wont that work.Comment
