Agreed, in that, by creativity, I would say composition and pose of the picture so that the peak is one of the major elements of the picture, with a minimum of distractions from the major elements of the picture. THe creativity is in noticing the general scene, and then deciding how and where to pose things for a picture.

And, bye the way, Trevor, your picture this week exhibits a lot of creativity for noticing the scene of the road ahead and the rock cuts and rock formations and the valley, and noticing that would possibly have a great view from climbing up where you did. I can just image you guys stopped there, and you looking around and thinking to climb up there.
Yeah Dave, it was a neat experience for me...I have the photo blown up on my garage wall. It means a lot, that photo too me...I saw the hill, I thought "lets climb that"...lol...I have stopped there again...once with Charlie and Rob..

Yes, Is a great picture. I do think I recall seeing other version-occassions of that scene, a memorable picture-scene. I can understand that pic meaning a lot to you, and you enjoying having it hanging where you see it often. I think it would mean that much to you even if it were a bad picture (shadows, distracting things, not clear focus, grainy resolution, not as good of a scene-setting). But it is a great picture AND has lots of meaning to you. Is a great picture when I look at, with what I can see (and gather)... all without knowing what it means to you.

Hey wow, I wasn't expecting that last night. Sandy was up and I figured that's how it was going to stay. I'm on the road today with my family, and this was the first chance I had to check in. Thanks for the votes, y'all, now I need to come up with a theme... back in a bit.

Oh hey. I don't have a pic with me, but I'm thinking silhouette. Let's see some silhouettes.

I know that folks have subbmitted pics that were silhouettes, but I dont recall if silhouettes was the topic-subject-theme.

Here is my entry for Pic-of-the-Week. This picture was taken on the 4th of July 2018. I was coming up Ohio Rt 11 north.. I could see fireworks in the distance. I got off the next exit, shot up a back road, I had a front row seat. It was a beautiful hot summer night in Ohio...

My pic will not qualify...that's ok...this is a pic of my dad painting my 83 1100e in a make shift paint booth in my garage. He came to stay with me 4 years ago...my dad is in his 70s in this shot....my dad is having some problems with memory now...I went back to Ontario last fall to see him because of the issues he;s having...we hung out a lot and one night when we were out he looked at me and said "hey, what's your name"...it was something that I could never prepare for...it was devastating to say the least...but here we are...we move on and my sister and I will try to support him the best we can....it's just so hard...he really was someone that I never thought could be or would be vulnerable...but like I said, here we are...
Anyway...I ran across this pic while looking for one that would fit in...but this stopped me in my tracks.

Of course it qualifies....I see part of your bike and a silhouette.
(IMO, the theme is just "silhouette," not "a silhouette of your bike")

Nice picture and a moving story. (My Mum suffered from Dementia for years before she passed. It is difficult.)
And it so reminds me of my Dad helping me paint my first car, in a similar make shift, garage booth back in the '70s.

                            Thanks for sharing.

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.
