So the 'enricher' is equivalent to a choke?

A choke raises the ratio of fuel vs air by choking off the air via the butterfly. An enrichener gives the engine more fuel without restricting the air. I think from a standpoint of cold starting the enrichener is sort of like a shot of starting fluid. It really makes a difference.

The N15 will have a temporary roommate on Sunday. Bit of a sad story...

A guy I met at a show in November passed away. We exchanged a few emails and then he went quiet. His wife contacted me using his Email (I met her at the show too). She needs to sell his '71 Commando to help with funeral expenses. I offered to help clean it up, give it a service, and market it.

It runs, has a new seat, and looks good, but has been sitting outside under cover for a while.

Norton #2 is coming along. Power washed, wire brushed, and treated the barrel with Klean Strip. Cured overnight then painted, now time for curing. Bike will be awesome.

Parts from jolly-old are arriving soon, including carb manifold spacers and air filter so I can get it fired up. It's looking very nice and someone will be lucky to get it.

Good things are happening, and there's not much left to do. Just polish and assemble. The front end is a pain with the headlight 'ears' sorta held in by 1 3/8? x 1/16'' O-rings. Which were shot and meant that the headlight would rattle. OMG. I bought some larger diameter O-rings at the hardware store, maybe 1.5", at the hardware store and snipped them down, then used 'magic glue' to hold them in place. It worked fine. I have polished the instrument housings, and they look good. I also painted the airbox front cover and baked it (VHT caliper paint is my fave). Some pics are below. Anybody want to buy a Commado?
