Have never synched carbs, I have always had it done. What is involved?

Should have my tank and the rest of the bodyparts next week...

Easy as pie. But you need a synch tool. Probably for what you spend on having someone else do it you could get a carbtune. www.carbtune.com

I bench synched your carbs so they should be close, but you'll still need to do a vacuum synch.

Really easy mate & a carbtune can easilly pay for itself if you do a couple of sync jobs for other people

                      DAMN that's a pretty bike!

You have to at least hook some gas up to it and fire it up. You'll probably want to get the carbs dialed in too while the tank is off. I wish I was closer...I'd love to help.

I have to remove the centerstand to install the V&H, Ive left it off to give me a little more space to manuever around the bikes, but I think I'll throw it on this weekend. Discovered a leaky fork seal as well ( have the seals ) so that is next in line for now. Yeah I could use an experienced GSer near buy for technical stuff. The hold up on the bodyparts has been the tank, after he acid dipped it, it ended up with a about dozen little rust holes in the bottom. He patched them up and lined the tank, said he was going to finish it up next week. Appreciate the compliments Bruce!

                            Hey Joe,

Why not get a remote tank of some sort and fire that thing up! You need to sync the carbs with the tank removed anyway. Get the video out first so we all can watch!

You gotta fire the thing up !!! Iv'e been waiting also to get a few extra bucks so I can seal my tank, and then I can put her back on the road. Every few days I pull out the temp 1 gal Hawwain Punch bottle and listen to her run. LOL You better watch out you might get a ticket for being nude in public. Still a great job. Right now the valve cover is off mine (valve adj) and I started to attempt to polish it but I think I'm going to do the same as you and just paint it so I can get it back together,

How long does it take to paint body parts ?? I've painted 3-4 cars,boats,planes,tricycles,houses,etc... Just kidding, hope they hurry I want to see the coplete finshed project...
