 Thanks Man!

$140 bucks on new K&Ns, but same cable...get out of here.....

 just teasing...

I have a new in package, Motion Pro cable I'll send you, or you can pick up if you are up this way, if you want it, being I'm going Push/Pull throttle on the VMs. I'll never use it. It is for a 700E, pretty sure the ES is the same.

They are only like $10-$20.. thru Dennis Kirk.

 Front master

Been trying all week to remove the screws from the lid of the front master cylinder without stripping them. Anyone have any suggestions other than buying a new one.

Use an easy out bit. They'll come out no problem, and since the screws are shot anyways, no big deal to buy four more.

My rear brake cover had a badly hacked up screw. I cut a small slot in it with a dremel and removed it without damaging the cover. Just needed a new screw.

 ps

An easy out is a reverse threaded taper. Drill a hole in the screw and insert the easy out. As it bites down it should loosen the screw.

Easyouts, or Grabits or whatever, are good for easy to get to, same metal type removal of screws, but good lord dont ever use them on anything that has been seriously torqued or corroded/rusted. They'll simply snap their heads off in whats left of the head of the bolt, and then you're really f-ed. I had some of the rear hubspline retainer bolts get sheared off when the spline gave out, and in an attempt to save the wheel, we tried those "Grabit" bits...drilled the head out, stuck the bit in, snapped it off flush instantly...lol. Worse off then when we started..

BTDT. I had it happen on a header bolt. I managed to chip the extractor out with a nail punch and drilled a hole through the bolt big enough to tap for the correct bolt.Originally posted by TheCafeKid View PostEasyouts, or Grabits or whatever, are good for easy to get to, same metal type removal of screws, but good lord dont ever use them on anything that has been seriously torqued or corroded/rusted.
