      Front master cylinder

I decided to scrap the original front master and replace it with one I had from a 94 GSXR 1100. The GSXR is tapered for clip-ons so it sits perfectly on the ES . The only issue I see is trying to mesh the 94 brake light connector with the 85. Solder maybe? Any ideas?

      below are the two connectors...

An easy fix for the brake light switch is to cut the original es connection off & solder on 2 new spade connectors........ problem solved

                  Joe,

You can get a hydraulic brake light switch (replaces the banjo bolt) and forget about the cheesy OEM setup. I got one of these on eBay for under $23 shipped. Dennis Kirk has them also. They come with male bullet connectors that plug right in to the stock wiring.

                  Thanks,
                  Joe

Any time Joe! The eBay seller I linked was very good and I had the switch in a few days. Just be sure to get the correct size and pitch. I believe the one I linked is correct but you might want to check since you have a different master cylinder:

                      10mm dia x 1.00mm thread pitch.
                      Washers Included
                      20" wire length with terminals.

                      Thanks,
                      Joe

                        Ditto!

Edit: Doh! Didn't realize there were already several confirmations on this suggestion before I posted. Sorry.

Make sure of the thread pitch if you go with the hydraulic switch. The GSXR master has a different pitch than the GS master.
