Here's a cool pic. Open wide and let me check your tonsils

Sort of scary to think of a rock going in there.

            Thanks Solo !

The only thing that's plastic is what's left of the fenders and the side covers.

Nice bike TopGas! Any ideas on the paint yet?

I took a vacation day to work on the bike today before it turns cold again. Too much was going wrong so I stopped. It started out when I pulled the cylinder block and was bit by the copper gasket. After I pulled out some tissues and black tape, it was back to work. Then I noticed that the original owner of the 1150 head had stripped some of the exhaust bolt holes. Funny I did not notice it until today. Found a local place the had some inserts so I repaired the damage.

I have the new head on now but need to set the final torque. My clicker took a dive today for some reason after 20 years of service. Resorted to the beam one to get things close. Then I need to get the new cams setup.

Supposed to be back into the 20's for the next few weeks. You guys in the southern states or with your heated garages, I envy you!!!

Any idea where I could buy some Grade8 M7 1 pitch socket head cap screws for the cam sprokets? The new cams are machined a bit different and there is not enough clearence for a socket anymore. Talked with a buddy of mine and they are using the stock bolts with the webs but with an open end wrench. I checked nutty.com and they don't have. Damm this M7 size. Why suzuki just had to go with it.....

Check with a Nut and Bolt company, you should be able to find one in the yellow pages. Maybe Lowes will have them too.

the bike is 75-77" wheelbase. i havent really decided on paint yet, when it comes out of the chassis shop i'll figure something out. on the cam sprockets i usually just use a 1/4 drive socket with a extension. heres a pic of what it will look like when its done (barry greene's bike)

The old 1100 head looks like it was leaking a tad. That gasoline sure makes a mess out of everything.
