Bugger! My budget is pre-spent also... could do with a brand new shifting setup from them but it won't get here in time either...

At least my budget is pre-spent on a safety certificate and rego

Or it could end up on clutch plates and springs if that doesn't work...

There's no money in my kitty either... but that's not stopping me from ordering those boots.

Thanks a lot for reminding me Rusty.
                I bought 2 !
For LESS than I paid for a used M/C just for the reservoir.

                  Without the Duny's

Not the best welds ever but they will do.Stainless wire in the MIG so they should last a while

                        Cool, he does good work

I need a hell of a lot more practise before mine will even get close to neat...

Did a bit of work yesterday.Stator side came off no problem.Looks like I don't need that gasket.Might get it anyway but.....
                              Looks like this inside

                              Also noticed this

Looks like the gear position indicator on my 750 without a cover. Is this how it should be?
                              Edit:started a new thread here http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=186843

Stripped the paint off the engine and wire brushed then wet sanded the covers to be polished.Using Plasti-Kote 207 aluminium engine enamel.
