Spent the day in the garage doing the tedious work of cleaning a neglected bike....wheels, airboxes were brutal dirty, sanded parts that I'll paint myself...had Oreo for support.

      Thanks and right you are!
Got my exhaust back from the blaster yesterday and got my new tires installed today. Swingarm put on along with mounting the rear tire and ss rear brake line as well.
Tomorrow me and a couple of buddies are riding up to my buddy's dealership in Ladysmith (100kms away) to pick up gaskets, engine emblems and fork seals that I ordered.
That's a wrap for the night. Slowly but surely....still waiting for tins to come back from the painter and engine parts from the polisher.
      Cheers

I went to my buddy's work to use a paint booth to paint my exhaust and other black bits. Used VHT high heat header plaint in flat black then used vht high heat ceramic clear coat for a little shine. I won't quit my day job...but good enough...lol

Is there something special about that gold gas cap? I can't quite make it out.

That's coming out so nice. Your painter did an excellent job on the body parts. I, too, used the VHT flat black header paint for my exhaust. I noticed, accidentally, that if you let them dry for a few days, then rub them down with a blue paper shop rag, they get a real nice shine to them almost a ceramic-looking finish.

Thanks I’m really happy with the paint. Good to know about the rub down effect! I’ll post some pics of my results on the exhaust. Cheers
