    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

    Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

    So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Have to give a shout out to the folks at Go Fast Innovations. My # 2 JIS screwdriver tip broke and I emailed them regarding a warranty replacement.

One day later, I got an email requesting my address so they could ship me a new one!

It's nice to do business with a company that actually stands behind their products!:D
 
I've never been around any JIS drivers, that I know of. Only heard of them the past couple of yrs. The ones I've used at the local bike shop may have been JIS and I just didn't realize it. I've ruined many screws, probably because of it. Learned use an impact every time, if enough room, and have much better results. Now wondering, Phillips drivers work "good on Phillips" screws and "just OK on JIS". Reading about the JIS they all say work on both. Is it like the Phillips? JIS "Work good on JIS" screws and just "OK on Phillips"? or do they work "good" on both. Also, I see Go Fast is in Canada, normally very high shipping cost. Can they be bought down here to maybe keep the price down a little?

JIS screwdrivers/bits work very well on Phillips screws, much better than the reverse.

I've said this before, but if you work on Japanese bikes a set of JIS screwdrivers will be the best money you'll ever spend on tools.

Thanks for the reminder. My # 2 after a lot use lost it's tip as well. I'll drop him a note as well. Great set of drivers, comfy in the hand, well balanced and you can apply a lot of torque with handle design when properly seated in the screw.

I'm not a fan of the hex on the end of the handle of the Go Fast screwdrivers. I use Vessel, including their wonderful Impacto drivers, almost every day. Great tools.

I even got a shipping notice with the tracking number today.:dancing:

Great tools and even better service! That's how you keep customers coming back for more products.:loyal:
 
I stick with the O.E.M. stuff, and use an Impact wrench to remove them. The Japanese do use different standards and American Phillips do not fit into Japanese p=Philips right. I always grounded down the tip a tiny bit to get a better bite. :)
