A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

gustovh gets my vote.
Now that's hardcore riding.

That’s my brother heading north, Jan 15 2005. He made it to within 300 miles of Nuvick northern territories before he had to turn back. His journal has been posted here several times. Quite a trip.

I like Trevor's R/W/B Suzuki signage a lot but I am going to go with gustovh this week. If you look at the the slightly fuzzy focus just right you can see an impressionist painting .

LOL....fun stuff...Let's tally up.

With one vote, Redman

And with two votes each for a five way tie, trevor, kerrfunk, dpep, baatfam, and gustovh....

Someone should confirm this, but it appears we need a tie breaker...:smile-new:

If it will get us going I will switch my vote to Trevor. It was a toss up between his and Gustovh's for me anyway.

I didn't get a chance to vote yesterday so, whether needed or not, throwing one in for Trevor here.

What's this week's challenge, Trevor?

Ok thanks guys....how about a pic from your youth....or one of your oldest pics of your motorcycle?

This is me on my 1973 50cc Suzuki Trail Hopper around 1974/75 :)....I don't look very happy for some reason....lol

Thank you, Don...

Does this make me this week's winner?
Yes it does...

Thanks, Roger...

Good theme. Thanks, Trevor....

Sadly, no pics of my first motorcycle. I sold that ‘72 Yamaha DT250 and bought this used @‘80 Yamaha Trimoto 200 @‘84-85 with my paper route earnings and used it to daily deliver a very rural section of my route. The ‘76 IH Scout Traveler was the vehicle I learned to drive and used for my driver’s test. Also of note: acid washed jeans and a knock-off Members-Only jacket. :dancing:

First bike was a 73 DT250. No pics

1973 500/4......Pic Taken in 1981.

Had it 11 days when I T boned a car. Both to blame. Bent the frame and the bike was in parts for 12 months and moved house with me. Couldn't afford new mufflers so I made baffles out of tightly rolled up chicken wire to use for baffles. Great when idling around town and would sing a song when opened up. Paint job cost me $130.00 in 1980.

First bike I striped down and put back together. 12 months after the crash I sat up at night drinking rum and smoking dope trying to figure out where what went where. Didn't bag and tag and it had been sitting in boxes for 12 months so just went off the manual pics and tried to apply common sense, ( he says drunk and stoned), not now, then.

T500 2 by Scott Marvin, on Flickr Had a couple of Yamaha dirt bikes but no pics. First street bike1976 T500 two stroker.

I had a Titan back in the 70's and I loved it. Just a great all rounder. Did not work well as a center punch for a Dodge Polara grille however. Otherwise I would probably still have it.

I bought my 450 Rebel off the showroom floor and rode it out the door in 1987. It is sitting now waiting its turn to be cleaned up and rode again sometime this summer.

This is me dropping by to visit a friend and show off my brand new motorcycle ..... Still have it .....

I don't remember for sure Glen, I just remember seeing RAM AIR etched into the top of the eng., thinking 500 or 550, and always thought that had to mean performance (though probably not). My first was a "77" GS750 and know the Ram Air was before them.
