A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Took my 78 XS1100E for a nice evening shakedown run up the Michigan Road (Route 421) north from my house to Kirklin and back. I think the jetting is finally just about spot on. Amazed at how smooth and torquey this thing is! Sorry to say I enjoy it more than my old GS1100E, even with the Yamaha's "soviet tractor" shifter lol

You flying solo, Trev?

Rode the GSX1300R down to the lagoon, found a cool driftwood sculpture of a mother bird with its baby in a nest. Some people have real talent! :encouragement:

Rode the GSX-S1000GT up to my favourite (but far from local) Suzuki dealer to grab a new pair of riding jeans yesterday... glorious weather we're having here.

Decided to take the short cut over the water on the way home.

Rode the '82 GS1100E on the backroads 35 miles to the only Buc-ees in Kentucky. Had to grab a chopped brisket sandwich for me, and some ethanol-free fuel for the bike! Also got to cross the Kentucky river on the ferry.

I rode the Yamaha 125 Zuma to work for the last 3 days. I was determined to get the GS out before the end of the weekend.

So, I made the exactly one mile journey (each way!) to the neighborhood Mexican grocery for a summer squash and an avocado to complete my culinary masterpiece.

No great photo opportunity. Maybe tomorrow on the way to work.... :topsy_turvy:

Did another "shakedown" jaunt up the old Michigan road on the XS1100, made it 35 miles north up to the small town of Burlington IN, turned around to top up at a gas station then zipped back home. Arguably some of the more boring riding you can do: just buzzing past cornfields and through tiny "towns' (intersections with a few houses, many of them), but it's sort of zen in its own way, especially on a super smooth and comfy bike like an XS1100. Passed a number of cars both on the way up and back down, the road is wide open and flat with a 55mph speed limit and basically endless (legal) passing zones. That big brute of a Yamaha has awesome top gear roll-on performance.:xsmilie_mrgreen:

Planning: about 10 minutes before can go, pic a town about 60-70 miles north & go there for lunch.
Picked town of Pentwater.
Didn’t think to get the GPS.
Since needed to be back home in about 3 1/2 hours, and major objective was to get some highway speed riding time, I blasted most of the way on US31, then headed over to lakeshore. Found a couple roads that don’t go to Pentwater but end in private area along the lake.
Did make it to Pentwater, had lunch, and made it home per schedule.

- pic near silver lake looking across to the state park sand dune area. Surprised that didn’t see lots of dune buggy’s and Mocycles and such.

-pic in downtown Pentwater. Would you believe the name of this place is Antler Bar?

Rode up island Monday night so that I could go take a tour of a friend's new treatment centre he opened a couple of months ago......nothing like being able to ride your bike for work....and get paid mileage :)

Qualicum Beach

I couldn't help but notice the bright pearly whites on both, Didn't happen to get what tooth paste they use did you?

Which Suzuki dealership is your favourite?
