Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Thinking our 500 and 650 V-twin Honda Turbos had those wheels, but they were so rare I never saw but a couple of them... The "83" CB 1100F's, everywhere but here, got a glove box in the tail section.

That's the definition of skimpy Mr Dgates. Might just want to go to Sturgis now. Wow! Although my wife would kill me.

That's because California f'ed it up for everyone else!

Can't say I'm surprised, though.
Last night I saw a vid of the smog of the 70s over parts of California.
It made the Peking smog of today look tame.

Good point...
Youngstown, Ohio use to be the same way. But pollution from the steel mills.

You guys are speaking as if pollution and greenhouse gas were still harmful. Dear Leader has said that's not true.
So 2 strokes will return and catalytic converters will disappear. :peaceful:

It will do us good to fully stretch our lungs in order to get enough air to breathe.

Happy Friday Morning, GSR! Sorry I was late this morning.

Let's review our photos and vote. But first the interesting theme of the week by Rich:

Breaking a major rule of the game on this one. New theme is:

Not My Bike

And that should be all of them. Let us know if anything is amiss. Was a little tricky sorting this week's entries. :p;)

Don't forget to vote...

Trevor gets my vote this week. Also Steve Murdock gets my vote this week too....

I keep going back to Bob's pic. At a glance the tail end of that bike looks like an apparition of sorts. I like how it just fades into the hillside.

Baatfam for me.

Voting for 2. See, I knew you guys could break the rules if you tried hard enough. :emmersed:
I'm voting for rphillips and Rob S, and they didn't even play:p, Just kidding.

I'm actually voting for Baatfam, not just for the photo, but because he let me borrow the bike for mine.

Honorable mention to trevor, Of all your stories and pics with Wes, this is my favorite.

..................................

Hey, thats Dale Dogma's 850 (850GK haa haa).
Hey, thats Greg GBW White standing back there in line of bikes.

Not a vote, but do like the pic. Interesting how I can recognise the bike and some people even though doesnt look like any rally place I have been to.
But, I can quess, maybe the Sevens ride (not the whiskey, Robin's Seven States Seven Days).

THanks for summation Bob. I took a look at the thread this morning, and I thought I had the wrong thread with all the discussion. (and then I had a schedule limitation and had to go).

About the theme:
. New theme is:
Not My Bike.............]
I suppose we can have a discussion similar to other political/social discussion in past few years (decades) "well, if we allow that, then whats next" .

But, hey, its a game, and we got some fun pics/stories.
Like a Trevor Wess story that we havent heard before that was great. Even with Trevor Wess stories that have heard some of before, its all interesting and significant. ANd everytime makes me wonder what it would be like to now be honored/ recognized for something that had done in career 30-40 years ago.

Gustovh for me this week. I've ridden behind that bike & blue boots coming down from Mt St. Helens way back when.
Looks like a toasty unshady place to have a bike issue.

Oh.... voting......

Burque..... Bob.....

Bob..... Burque....

Roger Burque pic, it so well conveys the discovery, or at least I can imagine me taking that apart and being startled and saying "Hey, that stepper motor coils looks so much like zuki stator....." and the stepper motor coils is "not his bike". But did include a GS stator for comparison.
Vote for Roger Burque.

I just have to keep reminding myself, it's 2025 rules are only a suggestion...

Like sitting at a green light because the person in front of you is on their phone.
You beep, now you are the bad guy!

Or having to have uninsured motorist on your auto insurance policy. In case someone doesn't want to follow the rules.

2025... get use to it folks.

Wow. Comparing me to the a-hole on his phone at a green light. I'm really not that bad of a guy. Just ask my buddy Norm... Oh, wait. HAHA:victorious:. Don't worry. Someone (not me obviously) will set us back on the straight-n-narrow tomorrow.
