Cycle Outfitters advertises free installation and balancing, and will install while-you-wait seven days a week if you bring in your wheels. Plus, they keep a large, diverse inventory on hand. However, they simply charge $40 - $60 more per tire to cover all that. They are undeniably convenient, and I'm glad they're there in case I need a tire at the last minute, but they are definitely not cheap.
I've installed and balanced my own tires (and those of several friends) for quite a while. If you can make it to my home motorcycle laboratory on the NW side of Indy, I'd be happy to help you install a set. My standard toll is a 6-pack of any fine microbrewery ale or stout.
Please email me at brian@bwringer.com if you'd like to discuss this further -- the forum messaging system is sort of cumbersome.
