A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

  • Happy 4th of July 2025!

Already been to the beach and come home...the crowds are in full-force.

Time to trek to a cool spot and enjoy this non-humid/cooler day.

Have fun and be safe everyone.
Hey Ed, who do you like in the Super Bowl!? I don't like either team, but I think Philadelphia will win!

I like KC. Reason...Philly fans are pissed Andy Reid didn't win a SB for them...he had lots of accomplishments but not a SB win.

    Ungrateful fans suck!

I spoke to a Philly Fan this weekend and was pretty much ungrateful for Andy Reid's accomplishments. Sad

I know, it's daunting and nearly overwhelming. One piece at a time, right? I'm going to break it up into sections:
    Wheels, brakes, tires
    Frame/forks
    Electrical
    Engine/clutch/gears
    fuel/lube
    ignition
Or, once I get going on it, maybe I'll figure a better order!

    Hi Ed,

So did you get those valves adjusted? I remember my first valve adjustment on my GS750 it sure did perk up , was way over due.

Hi Ed, It is a really good venue for people of mixed perspectives to share them. A great place for broadening our views and learning about what makes each other tick. The more we learn about each other the better we can communicate, understand and improve our international relationships. Doesn't matter what country or religion we come from and believe in, we (all nations and religions) have hugely more in common (when we stop and learn about each other) than we realise and credit each other with. If we can establish and build on our commonality rather than focusing on ignorant biases, the world will be a much better place for all of us.

Yeah agreed! I used to live in West Virginia and even 70 degrees felt hot with the humidity.

Yeah BassCliff's site is amazing! Makes me glad I decided on a GS :D

Yup! I'm just as excited for him as for my first time!

Bummer man! Here in Nevada it never rains, its either just super hot or super cold haha. I wish you the best of luck in your project!
My brother also took the MSF course this week and passed! So I'll be helping him find a bike suitable for him :)

Not yet! I just found that I have an oil leak in my cam chain tensioner, so I'll be spending the next week or so fixing that. How's your 750 treating you?

    Hey Ed!
    Hope you do well.
Yes indeed! I went to San Francisco from LA taking the famous Pacific Coast highway 1. Was long, hard, beautiful. Such an experience for a newbie all by himself. Oh and freezing at that time of the year. I was properly geared though. Only I wish I had a windshield. So really what an adventure. Who would build that small way between the ocean and the mountains?
To complete the pleasure, going back down from SF to LA on the interstate 5, more inside the land, much warmer. I suppose you know that road, straight straight under the Sun. It's like in back to the future, starting 88mph, something is going on... Like going from junior high to high school. I had a blast!

Hey the place we use to drink at was called MinderBinders- You ever hear of it?:D
    B
That's cool- I can't remember the name of the place my Brother and I use to go drink every Friday- they had all kinds of crazy stuff hanging on the walls. Have to ask him.
I worked as a mason out there building those 6 foot privacy walls in every yard- miserable.
Then I got in the USAF- then Asia and life was good!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah Chains are the way to go if you really want to ride- I had shafts and though they are smooth- to much risk for catastrophe for me!
    B
LoL- AWESOME - we kicked some of the same dirt around- I lived in CHandler AZ the same time you were there! I used to ride my GS out there and watch the T 38's. Feel free to kick around anytime. Thanks on the comments on my T! I plan on detailing here out once I get my non-running issue fixed!
    B
Yup I posted some! I hope you do well. Had a good time vacuum syncing.

    Hi Ed,

Well I finally adjusted the valves, With the other Ed in Torrance ;)
but it knocks on the other side now. haha.

I'll go bare metal tank for the Madmax/vintage effect and I'll add bullet bikevis LED lights, becaude I'm the DOT-Snell type of rider.
Still wondering on the tank emblem replacement.
And oh I need to do something for the saddle. All the stiches are gone so it's rounded and looks lame. It's comfortable though, so I don't want to touch it... Haw, i'll find something.

I'll post evolution pics in my personal welcome thread. I can now that I found a job. Yeah finance is said to be better off here in CA... After collecting huge amounts of gold, corporations need to hire to go the next step. Good news!

    Take care,

    Tristan
Alright...cool. Glad you understand...I'll make it out to L.A. eventually!
