All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

  • Hey Garth
I would be interested in your bike....didn't know you were looking to sell
Looks like Don removed my post calling Ron out and saying I introduced "hate" to the thread. Wow this place....I guess religion is off limits. My days are numbered.

Hi bccap, great to hear from a senior member. trying to work out how to post pics to this site..!!! computers arnt my thing...!!! Kind regards William.
Garth, that shipper/receiver in Poont Roberts is TSB Shipping.

    tsbship@pointroberts.net
Hey thanks for the compliment on by bike. I did send in pics for bike of the month for Oct. but didn't make the cut I guess. Why were you upset with their choice? Where can I see pics of your bike? When I was 18 I bought a brand new 1983 gs750e burgandy and black with the little quarter fairing. Thats why I wanted another gs, I loved that bike!!
I have a torque wrench, but it's not so great for the smaller torque settings. I think it only goes down to 15 lb-ft. I can't think of too much else that I'm missing, except for some electrical tools like a dextrous soldering iron, crimpers, strippers, etc. Electrical really is not my thing at all.
The blue stripe is paint. Someone on the forum said that the ES striping is a decal but I'm not sure about that. Nvr2old, who did my paint, said he would prefer to paint it as large decals like that are very hard to work with.

    Thanks,
    Joe
    Thanks,

There's no rush in getting them back.

Are you planning on coming by this Saturday evening?
    R

    J
no its too big i will look for a repository

I suppose it could. I would be leery of doing it that way as it may violate rules and such.
But you can give me the link oh please!
I've managed to do that myself...welcome. Looking forward to meeting up with all the fellow GSers around. What's the saying...misery something or other? Actualy, it's not all that bad, despite the overabundance of people's issues with their machines. If we were riding new ones, we'd all be complaining about the flow of money out of our bank account into our respective mechanics'
    Thanx Derrick
Just joined the southern BC group. The get together sounds like a great idea.Count me in.
    Garth
I'm going to be away for a bit in August, but I'm thinking of organizing a get together sometime near the end of August. It could be a ride or a wrenching session, but something to facilitate a meetup.

    Nice to meet you.

    Derrick
I noticed you haven't joined the Southern BC Riders Group yet. I know I've seen your bike around town and have always liked it. Even my just learning to ride girlfriend is starting to pick out the GSes around the city. We're starting to get quite a collection of GS riders in the GVRD
Great thanx. My bike has a somewhat similar theme. The original 1983 gs750e silver and blue combo only my side covers are blanks. Though I like yours combo much better.
