    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Fuel Petcock interchangability for a 1983 GS1100E?

82 GS1100GL needs one???? Is it something a simple rebuild won't fix... I've not had any problems rebuilding them but have read where folks have had problems rebuilding them, but these things are so simple and very few things that can make them not work.

82’ GS850g hole in piston help

Didn't realize eng. was completely apart... What caused the hole in the piston? Heat or did a valve poke a hole in it? Any visible damage to the cyl. wall on # 2?

Kawasaki Eliminator (451cc) - anyone with experience?

No clue about 450 Eliminator but riding the wife's 600 eliminator seems like getting off an adult bike and getting on a child's bike. Both the wgt. plus the much lower center of gravity really makes it seem small... Well, it is a lot smaller than my other bikes.

    Pic of the week game

Just say'in, on my puter, in Rich's recap when I got to skull & marv there was just a blank area that said click to expand. When clicked that a bunch of numbers came up, but couldn't click on them... Found if clicked in their names, at top left it would take me straight to where they originally...

Anybody got a nice 82/83 GS1100E 'train' headlight chrome ring for sale?

Reminder, if anybody has a good train light chrome ring, I 'd like a chance at it.

    Any decent petcock diaphraghms available?

As simple as these things are, not much to keep them from working. If seat is clean (polished), groove for "O" ring clean, "O" ring good, seems the only thing left is the spring. It's over 40 yrs. old and probably needs stretched back a little, stretch it a little and see what happens... Is...

1979 GS1000L missing rear airbox assembly

I never write it down, but there are motorcycle parts houses where you can put in what you are looking for and they will show, if there are any, other bikes that use that same part. That could broaden your search greatly... I just punched up Suzuki Parts House & it appears most all the Chain...

    Any decent petcock diaphraghms available?

Wait, the diaphraghm has nothing to do with sealing fuel when eng. is off. It opens the valve when vacuum is put to it. The spring, "O" ring & slot for "O" ring & seat "O" ring seals against is what shuts off the fuel.... Or am I missing something?
