A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Idle mixture screw O-ring needed

Thanks alot BW. Robert Barr responded to the PM I sent him last night. Doubts he has what I need but offered to look at what he's got if I give him the dimensions for the 0-ring I need. I just measured it and will PM him with them. I really appreciate the links you posted and will be checking...

Source needed for brake cylinder boot

SVSooke, subtle hint appreciated and apologies extended. If its any consolation, I considered posting in the "proper" location first. I decided to post here instaed though because I felt that it'd get a quicker response. I don't know if that logic was correct or not but it did result in a...

    Idle mixture screw O-ring needed

Thanks again Steve. I found the same kit after searching the link you posted in the Brakes section. I don't mind being called cheap for not wanting to spend over $30 (incl shipping) to get an o-ring. I'm tempted to go with the 50 cent option available at the hardware store. Problem with that...

Source needed for brake cylinder boot

Then you can relate to what I'm trying to do. :) I bought an RD400 brand new in '76. As luck would have it, I bought a lemon. Of all things wrong, it had low compression due to the ports being in the wrong location. Even worse, Yamaha refused to honor the warranty on the grounds that I took it...

Suzuki GT750 Water Buffalo Smoker Modified

NICE Buffalo!! I've had mine since about '79. Its lost alot of weight over the yrs. Take a look at my photo album for a picture of it. Ya can't beat the sound and powerband of a modded 2-stroke! Willie

    Idle mixture screw O-ring needed

Like the title says, I'm in need of the o-ring that goes on the idle mixture screw. The problem I'm having is that its for a '77 RD400 and is no longer available. FWIW, I've been to NAPA, hardware stores, Yamaha dealerships (Parts guy there told me IF it was available the o-ring was $5.99) and...

Source needed for brake cylinder boot

Okay, here's my predicament. I'm restoring a '77 RD400. If you don't know what an RD is, some day you will. Anyway, most brake parts are no longer available. With that in mind, I need some suggestions as to where I can find a rubber dust boot that will fit the rear master cylinder. The OD slides...

    Boulevard Suzuki

X2 on that. FWIW, I couldn't have been happier with the order I placed last year (?) during the big sale and Ashley's presence. Its too bad things have deteriorated so greatly. If Ashley still monitors this forum she should realize all the more, what they had in her. Willie

    ValvTect fuel system cleaner/stabilizer

Purely out of curiosity, what makes you think its 10X the concentration of SeaFoam?

Ah, good to know. I wonder if Scotchguard is also a UV protectorant. If so, I'll be sure to give it a good coat. ;) Willie

    shinko 712 review

I'm on my 2nd pr of Shinkos. The only problem I've had was with a front one that was out of round. I contacted them and explained the problem. Although I'd had the tire for almost a yr, it didn't haven many miles on it. I emailed them a picture of it, showing the nubs. Proof that it didn't have...

    Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum

IMO. You could do it in a day if you hurry. Chances are that you'll want to linger at a few of the displays. Another option is to take ALOT of pictures and look at what there was when you get home. Willie
