A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Starter motor needs a tap to work recently

Hold the phone! You do not have to remove all that stuff to get the starter out. There are only 2 bolts and a cable that need to be removed. A ratchet with an extension and a socket can get it out. It's not fun but it can be done!

Need Help Valuing My "Unique" Exhaust

Unless you already have a set of stock pipes, I would hold on to the RC pipe. Stock pipes in good condition are very hard to find. Ask me how I know!

Maybe the most "cobbled-together" bike I have ever purchased!

Got the recovered seat back on it, along with a new Delkevic stainless exhaust. Still working out some electrical demons and have to paint the tank, but I'll get there eventually!

Maybe the most "cobbled-together" bike I have ever purchased!

It's starting to come together! Had a neighbor help stick the engine back in the frame this afternoon. It's actually starting to look like a motorcycle again!

Maybe the most "cobbled-together" bike I have ever purchased!

Got the engine rebuilt. Time to get the black paint off of it! This is what it ended up looking like: Used my pressure washer with a sandblaster attachment on it. It made quick work of the rattle can paint. Now to add some silver rattle can paint!

    BOTM for March 2026

Yeah Dave, I had to have Diablo Cycle make me a set of decals for this bike as they were not available in those colors. They only had the ones for a red bike. This bike had a windjammer fairing and a set of K&E Engineering saddlebags on it when I got it. I paid $200 for the bike because the PO...

Maybe the most "cobbled-together" bike I have ever purchased!

Still waiting on a few engine parts so I went ahead and started the reassembly process. It's nice to finally get it on the lift and to see some progress being made. Now to figure out how much I can add to it without affecting the engine installation.

Maybe the most "cobbled-together" bike I have ever purchased!

Well...........I just couldn't help myself. Got tired of looking at this bike in the garage needing so much love......so I decided to do a full restoration on it! (What was I thinking?) Anyway, I picked up the frame, swingarm and center stand from the powder coaters...

    Gel battery

"The battery that is easiest to keep going is an old lead acid with caps... so you can top up the electrolyte (We spend a lot of time and money on "maintenance free")" That's easier than installing an AGM and never having to touch it? I'm obviously confused? Or does "maintenance free" have a...

    Bike Of The Month Submissions

Trevor, what happens after the first month? Do the already submitted photos and information get considered again, or does everyone re-submit their entry again? Seems to me that your suggestion of a BOTM thread would create a big bunch of entries all at one time, and everyone would already see...
