All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Bought this a couple of years ago, and have been riding/upgrading it along the way. Currently it's parked in my fathers garage, next to my brothers GSX750 and my fathers Dnepr.

This is how I bought it:

This is before being parked in the garage:

What has been done?
*Valve adjustment
*Compression test
*Changed fuel line
*Mounted new headlight and handlebars
*Powder coated some chrome parts black
*Sandblasted and painted seat pan and some other stuff

Carbs were done by previous owner just before I bought it.

What am I currently doing?
*Changing dash to Danmoto Micro
*Changing to stainless steel brake lines
*Refurbing all brake calipers + new pads
*Mounting Delkevic 4-1 exhaust
*Looking for new rear shocks

I have one stock seat in good condition and an extra that I plan to have somebody retrim.

These are the brake calipers, do they have to be changed?

And this is the current state of the bike, with newly home-powder coated parts and Delkevic exhaust (just test-fitted):

This is a bit of a random status update of the bike as it sits now, I will try to update when I do something to it. My father lives 3 hours away, so don't expect updates every week :P

I ordered some RFY-shocks, but after seeing the fit of the clevis I sold them. Currently I'm thinking YSS-shocks. Read somewhere on the forum that I should go for 330mm-340mm?

Yes, change those caliper pistons and get new OEM seals. The pitting will wear away your new seals prematurely. It's from water getting into the brake fluid.

Plus one on changing your caliper pistons. Best replaced with stainless steel aftermarket versions and it's job done forever.

I have new OEM seals, I'll get new pistons :) Any tips of where I can find SS-pistons?

Very nice i have just purchased the very same delkevic 4 into 1 system for my old girl and i am looking forward to following your progress Mons.

I was very pleased with the look, so hope you will be happy with it too!

I'll try to make some progress soon, I have some parts to overhaul before going to the garage next time :) I'll post pictures soon :)

I love that style delkevic, when you have it running again i would love a video!!

I will follow this! Im very curious of which shocks you go with. I have been looking around also. First thought of the TEC's with adjustable ride height but heard the quality isnt really good. Thats a pretty exhaust pipe too!

Thanks for reminding me to update!

I bought YSS suspension:

bfaf2723afc3d29ac4f3e04628015a1c.jpg

Expensive, but hopefully worth every penny :)

Alot of things happening at the moment, so very little time to work on the bike this spring :(

Why do people complain about the cost of suspension?

After all, it keeps your ass on the road, in other words it possibly can keep you alive
