I will clean those up then sell them for extra cash towards the 1100E. :dancing:

And how about this? Dyna coils!

3 ohm. Made in March 1990.

Taylor Pro 8mm wires and caps.

These coils currently have bullet connectors on them. But my 1100E uses spade connectors so I need to cut them off the coils and crimp on the spades.

Another successful gig today with no accidents! ;):dancing:

We went all the way up to Everett and played live music for nearly 5 hours. On our way back home, I-5 at about exit 163 was closed! 6 lanes of traffic was made into 1 lane of traffic.... It was a parking lot. We turned off the engine and waited nearly 45 mins before we even started moving. And let me tell you, sitting in the back of a 2 door, 4 seater truck filled with music equipment is NOT fun. My legs just about died. Whew! Made it back home about 30 mins ago.

But, I got paid to help load and unload the equipment, set it up, and sit down the rest of the day while we had a FREE all you can eat at a Chinese buffet with live music and the best seats. :dancing:

I tried a little bit of Heineken too (I'm still underage :o) but I am sorry, it's disgusting. What's all the fuss about beer? I guess I do not understand it..... yet!

Sorry, no bike news lol....

Another shout out to Ryan (rlong74). Thanks for coming over!

Crimped on brand new connectors for the Dyna coils. Tried putting them on and guess what? NOT A BOLT ON! The sparkplug wires hit the coil mounts, the coils themselves are too wide so it hits the frame. I'm gonna try longer bolts....

Here it right now. :o

The yellow wires look cool.

A step back...
DSCN4842.jpg

Just look at it. Looks as if the bike is ready to go but it's not. It no longer runs.

I checked spark and it's good. Gas is getting to the cylinders since the sparkplugs are wet with gas. Compression is good based on sticking my fingers over the sparkplug hole. What else could it be?

I thought that maybe the fuel bowls are empty so I set the petcock on prime. FUEL DOES NOT FLOW! Pulled off the petcock and the filter is very clean and the diaphragm and springs look good. The petcock valve moves when you change to prime, on, and reserve. Your thoughts? Is my petcock dead? And yes, I have at least half a tank of gas.

Next thing we did was removed the gas tank and stuck a funnel on the gas line. Poured gas in, plugged the vaccuum hole and tried to start and again, NO GO!

WTF??? My next guess is that timing is off which may be caused from the camshaft timing or my igniter is dying. Let me know what you guys think.

It was running a few days ago but VERY poorly. :(

WHAT! you take that back laddie!
One day you will be walking off a dance floor parched and excited and filled with joy at immediate future prospects. A friend will hand you a glass of cold draught and you will inhale it and the essence of the universe will reveal itself.

The first day the quite disgusting taste of beer is heavenly is a true moment in a young man's life. The trick is not ingest the foam.

There is a pictorial on some very cool adapter work for fitment of these coils to your style of backbone.

I happened upon it by accident but maybe someone here knows? It has some cool machined bits but its a lot safer and better than doing something half assed that may cause a breakdown.

Haha! Maybe someday I will be it guzzling down but for now, I'll stick with Monster.

You are very right JEEP. What I have right now is crap and will surely fail. Maybe the coil wire will touch the frame causing a short or the coil itself will fall off! I will try searching for that pictorial you speak of.

Darn right no half-assed anything. Full Ass or nothing!
LOL!

I haven't checked timing yet. In fact, the bike is still sitting outside in the cold with the bugs. Must bring it inside... :)

I went outside and found this. Bugs already landed on it and the seat was slightly wet.

Don't ever do this again, Allen...

I tried to take a super cool picture at night with the moon in the background and this is how it turned out.
DSCN4854.jpg

As you can see, my camera does not do well in low light conditions. Need a better camera! During this picture taking, I did remember to bring the bike inside. Now it's time to check the valves and timing. Gotta figure this out!

It seems like my thread is slowing down dues to the lack of "interesting" updates.

The deal with the 240sx has fell through unfortunately. So, I needed some kind of transportation. The black truck... It was running perfect one day, let it sit for one week, then the starter did not turn. Not even a click!

I have brought the battery and starter to O'Reilly and they both passed. Came back home and tested the wiring and those were also good.

Brought the alternator to O'Reilly and that failed. Replaced it and the truck is running again. :dancing:

Big thanks to the forum for all the help! You guys are awesome! :D

My job at Firestone starts this Wednesday. Got a busy schedule.

School is from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Then work starts at 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. And I'm sure after all of that, I'll be beat so I may not be able to work on the bike except for weekends. Such is life...
