A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

As the summer of 2024 is winding down that only means one thing. The Canfield Fair Bike Nite is upon us once again! I look forward to this event every year. This year will be different because I'm only taking one motorcycle, the Kawasaki. The BMW is still waiting for parts (turn signal, coolant reservoir). I'm entering the Kawasaki in the "Sport Bike" class but I should enter it in the "Classic Bike" class. The new operation that is running the event wouldn't even know the difference... You see for years the local Goldwing club ran the event, great knowledgeable folks. Now it's run by some Harley club. Last year a Harley Sportster won the sport bike class. Go figure. Anyway it's still a fun time with premium parking! Also it's the beginning of a five day holiday away from work. Oh, also I turn the big 6-0 on Sunday. Yeah, I know I can't believe it either! So, I'm looking forward to a fun filled Labor Day Holiday weekend with motorcycles once again being the theme...

No way your rice burner can compete against a hardley ferguson in the sport bike category. Ha ha, just messin' with you Norm. You should win easily with that retro widow maker.

I'd think the only thing a Harley club would know about the sport bike class would be what they saw in the dealership, our dealership sells Harleys along with their sport bikes, or what they remember seeing flash by them out on the hwy... Good luck. Just me, I'd have to vote for the Z900RS

Okay fellows serve it up! I have to eat some Crow...

Turns out, the little Kawasaki came in second in the "Sport Bike" category!
There were some pretty nice Sport Bikes that showed up "crotch rocket" type motorcycles (I hate that term) R1's R6's ZX's CBR's XR... but the retro Z900rs found it's niche. Well I did do a little trash talking to the judges. Maybe or maybe not that helped. I'm just saying... It was a fun night, oh, very hot 93? but cooled down with thunderstorms all around us. But it never did rain.

Ill post pictures when the forum gets more picture posting friendly... I'm not sure what is going on with that tonight...

Okay here's a picture...
