2025 World Series - Dodgers and Blue Jays

Trevor, how is that crow tasting?
I hear it taste better with Brown Gravy and Cheese Curds on it! hahaha

What a close game! What a excellent series!

If it wasn't for Trevor, Cap/ Ed, Bob and others. I probably wouldn't have been into the game as much, or at all.
You guys kept it fun!

Congratulations Dodgers ! It was a Hell of a game ! ..... Now if the Kanadian news networks would kindly stop making me relive it . It would be greatly appreciated ..... { Currently have BBC on to avoid it } .....

So many unbelievable plays that had to be made in order for the outcome to live in our memories.

It would be historic no matter who took G7.

Heck, Kiki thought the game was over when Pages (who was just inserted to the game) crashed into him and caught the ball against the wall.

Miguel Rojas' game-tying HR, the Defense to get to extra innings, Will Smith's HR to take the lead and then the DP to win the WS.

So many significant events that went in favor of the Dodgers...I'm very surprised/impressed with the outcome.

Great replies back and forth here...thanks to everyone!

I hate to inject politics into baseball but I was wondering ? If President Trump watched the game and hates both Kanada and California . Who was he cheering for ?

Crow??? Did I say the Jays were going to win? No I didn't...I said a few times "the jays have nothing to lose as the Dodgers are the team everyone expects to win"...Am I dissapointed? Sure...but not surprised and I appreciate how ell they played...Crow...lol...you funny :)

Here is just one of my posts where I said that...

Like Garth....I don't really expect the Jays to win the series...I'm a fan but also a realist.
So like Garth, I'm going to celebrate hard when the Jays do anything positive against a team that is way over confident because they are believing the media and their fans that they were going to win in four. Come on man it was all over the place....
Not only did we win last night...we humiliated the Dodgers!
Barger hits the first ever pinch hit grand slam in a world series and our 9 run inning in a world series, is only topped by a 10 run inning by the Tigers in 1968.

Like I said, I don't expect the Jays to win the series...so we have nothing to lose (I also said that before game one)....so if and when the Jays lose I won't be upset at all. I'll happily hang my hat on the game one slaughter.

:) :)

Well, for sure, great game to end a great series. Admitting I'm pretty dang happy the Dodgers won that one important game... Also I'm feel'in a little sad or guilty knowing how many other folks aren't happy... I love happy folks, wish everybody could be happy, but we do live in the real world, It ain't happening... Congrats to the Jays for a great series, got to remember, when you're team is # 2, there's only one team better.

Canada's team....

As we wake up this beautiful Sunday to news of the L.A. Dodgers winning the World Series, I didn’t want you to miss a moment of kindness, and dare I say love, that happened during this hard-fought match between two great teams.
On October 23rd, the day before the World Series would begin, the Dodgers announced that pitcher Alex Vesia had to miss the entire series to attend to a very ‘personal matter’ involving his family.
These players start working toward the goal of playing in the World Series in February, from Spring-training, to 162 games, to the playoffs… ALL for this moment.
Your heart sank because you knew it had to be something bad .
While the team has respected Alex’s privacy, everyone knew his wife Kayla was pregnant with their first child, the couple announcing the arrival back in April. The fear was something happened or was happening with Kayla and the baby.
While everyone on his Dodgers team prayed for the couple, something small but remarkable happened during game 6 of this baseball series.
Pitchers from the Toronto Blue Jays, their rivals, came out onto the field with the number 51 on their baseball caps.
#51 is Alex Vesia’s number

They were trying their best to beat the Dodgers, but their humanity was more important.
When asked about it later, to a man… each said they wanted Alex to know they cared about him.
Again…. these were his rivals.
Talk about having your priorities straight.
Talk about having your morals straight.
Winning trophies and prizes is nice, but in the end it’s just a game. These players showed real class.
And as cliche as it sounds, while the scoreboard didn’t reflect the outcome the Toronto Blue Jays wanted.,,. in my book they already won when those players gave a silent gesture that echoed louder than a sold-out crowd’s cheer.
Congrats to the Dodgers, but BRAVO to Toronto!

Thanks for sharing that trevor, I'd not heard it, great to hear and hoping the best for the ones effected... It's amazing how much caring and humanity is out there, it's just that the media had rather talk about and emphasize the negative stuff and actually make it seem way worse than it may actually be......How could you not say Congrats to both the Dodgers and Blue Jays, heck they were the only 2 out there playing in the series, all the rest were just sitting at home watching.

It was a great series with at least two classic games that will be talked about for many years. Loved the underdog story and cheered for the Blue Jays till the end. Both teams and cities should be proud and keep in mind that the rest of the fans could only wish their teams were still playing. Have a good winter break and looking forward to Spring Training.

Here in the LA area, a huge cheer went up all around the neighborhood when Rojas's homer tied the game in the 9th. And when Smith blasted the winning homer, fireworks could be heard like it was the 4th of July! Crazy times!

On Saturday, Halloween, and game 6, there was a home around the corner where they set up a command center on the driveway; they brought out a TV, lounger chairs, and a fire pit grill, so they could enjoy both festivities. Ha ha! Lots of fun!
