A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.
A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Here's another:
New rubbers.
No, not those kinds of rubbers -- I mean all the assorted rubber bits and pieces and bumpers and cushions and grommets scattered throughout your GS. A surprising number of these are still available from Suzuki.
For example, side cover grommets could save you a lost side cover someday, and are maybe a buck fiddy each.
Set aside $50 and go nuts -- seat cushions, center stand cushions, exhaust grommets, instrument mounting cushions, tank mounting cushions, shift lever rubber, etc. Don't forget the various fuel and vacuum hoses, too. Or, just throw a few in every time you order Suzuki parts.
Soon, your bike will feel and sound much newer. Fewer rattles and clunks. Not as much stuff falling off. It's the little things.
Here ya go, $0 and looks kinda cool for you cafe or chop/bob guys. Drilled five 1/4" holes along the marked center line of the levers, then cut off the ball ends and countersink the holes. Still need to sand em' up a bit for that brushed look and a coat of matte clear from the ol' rattle can.![]()
good shout, same as foot pegs, gear/brake levers etc. dont see many pointy or razer sharp ones, except on harleysEver wonder why there is a ball at the end of the lever? Ever wonder why you plug the end of the handerbars on a race bike? Do you know someone who has been stabbed with those objects and killed? I do.

Not sure if its available in your neck of the woods. But I use a product called Seafoam. Its one of the things itll do for ya as well.A dash of metho in the gas tank every now absorbs the water and burns like petrol.
Ever wonder why there is a ball at the end of the lever?
That 1/2" round ball still has no problem whatsoever going into your calf, just above your work boots,
and cutting through the boot all the way down to just past your ankle to the ball of your foot at 5 mph crash
on a dirt bike, resulting in 56 stitches after you lose a pint or so of blood on the 17 mile ride
(how else are you going to get there?) back to civilization for a ride in a car, to the hospital where you pass out due to loss of blood.
Just something that I heard... :-\\\

SHARPY? bit of dumb one I suppose, you chuck in a bit of Metholated spirits - ( the purple stuff ) in the fuel tank and you rekon it absorbs moisture and just burns off? hey sounds good to me - can this be true?
Filling up the tank is less than 10 bucks. Makes my bike go faster and I don't have to push it. I can ride it up hills not just down. And it takes less time to get where I'm going.
