All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

so the gs1000 i picked up about a week ago(for free) will become a track bike. mods in mind with part already acquired are; 93 gsxr forks set up(thanks ray) a 2005 gsxr swingarm with monoshock. with that in mind we( my oldest brother and i) are going to take the old girl down to frame so we can give her frame bracing(will do thread search for yoshi frame bracing) hence the monoshock. we may end up getting a different engine for her to.as soon as i can i'll take the before pic and pix of the components to go on her. this should be fun :D for my local gsers(and some not so locals too), i'm sure i will be looking to pick brains for ideas and maybe even asking for help on thinks i just can figure out how to or where to do it, or get it done :p i'm not to proud to farm out some work or have a helping hand ;)

the bike is actually in decent shape, but it did sit for a couple of years. figure the forks would need new dust covers, fork oil change, and maybe new oil seals just to make sure you don't have to do it shortly after installing them :p there is a dent on the tank but in all honesty i don't think we'll mess with it, unless my bro wants the bike to look perty as well as perform :p if ther is a chance this weekend i'll take pix to post as well as to have handy when we start selling stuff

vintage stainless yosh system put together off ebay for about 200.00 total, 1997 gsxr1000 rear swinger. tl1000 front end. everything it took to build her from fab to wiring info i found right here on this site. this bike is a perfect example of what happens when you use this site to its fullest and use the search feature for answers but be prepared, your gonna have to read quite a bit. cliff
