A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Another 1100e coming.

Last night a friend of mine sent me a "moving sale" notice from facebook...it was far away from me in the Okanagan but I was intrigued enough to send him a note...he contacted me today and we made a deal over the phone.
Now there was the issue of how in the world am I going to get it by December 3rd? It is about 500kms away.
So I called a buddy that lives close to him about an hour away... he said he'd be happy to go get it and store it until I can get there. Good man!

The bike....1982 GS1100E with 38,000kms...really nice guy and he bought it new....he told me he put the exhaust, oil cooler, fork brace etc on a year after he bought new. He is selling because he has not rode it since he started having "balancing issues" 7 years ago....super nice guy.

Love the sound from the Wolf systems.
Congrats, Trevor.
Thanks Steve, I don't think I've actually heard a Wolf system before....the header certainly looks very free flowing.

Yes, Welcome! Interesting brace, other bits, I'll wait till it's home at Chez Trevor before we delve into it. Good luck!

Lol...thanks Rob, you may remember I had an 83 1100e that was crashed by a friend. :)

Trevor, you need the help line.

1-800- to many Suzuki's.

Lol...pot calling kettle black! :p

500kms and how many washed out roads away?

Nice score, Trevor!

Well it's defiantly a challenge...lol...I hope to get there in January...going in for surgery (again) to get the pins removed from my hip December 9th...

Ha! Good for you, I messaged the guy, he didn't get back to me for a few days and I've been too busy the rest of the week, told him I was going to call Thursday. Glad it's going to a good home. The ad was just for a yard sale and I wouldn't have given it any thought but the photo of the bike popped up.
I had a Wolf on my first 1150, it was fairly loud but good and throaty sounding.

Small world..lol...A friend that lives in Cherryville alerted me to it...I sent a message Monday and someone got back to me Tuesday morning with the sellers number and I called him...real nice guy,,,we talked for quite a while. :)

Yes: I just messaged him that it went to a good home and I was just happy a kid didn't get ahold of it and screw it up. I originally messaged him Sunday but he didn't message me back with a phone # until Tuesday and I've been too busy to call him. I was almost shocked when I opened the ad up and seen it and I would have called right that minute and went down immediately to look at it if he had included his number in the ad. I should buy a Honda, Yamaha or Kawasaki next anyway to mix it up a bit!

The guy I know in Cherryville is moving out of country and has some old Kawasaki's to sell.... :) And some ducs

How could I forget Big Blue?

Lol...I'm thinking I will put the blue tank on it I saved....my dad painted that bike...and the new bike needs a paint job...not sure how it would look in Blue without the black engine though.??
The other bonus is that I had Wes Cooley sign that tank too when he was here. :)

I've always thought the "82" 1100E colors would look better with the black eng., & the "83" 1100E colors would look better with a silver eng.. Seems you've got a the best option.

I remember there was a Jardine Header add showing a 80-81 GS 1100e. It was painted black, with red, orange, yellow stripes. I always liked that color scheme. That with polished aluminum engine covers. 😎

Well this is crazy...even for me....but I found another 82 1100e...I still haven't picked up the first one in this thread from Summerland about 400kms from me....last night I found another for sale and as luck would have it it's only about 50kms from the first one....I couldn't resist...the guy I bought it from bought it several years ago from his friend that bought it new....it has some nice goodies on it too....yoshi, lockhart cooler
The plan is to go this Friday to pick up both bikes. :)
