I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Any interest in brand new wiring harnesses?

If you sourced wire in the correct colors, I know lots of people might be interested in simply buying reasonable lengths of the wire.

That does not seem like it would be too hard, will have to look into it. I know I can get similar colours (w/ striping etc) in mil-spec no issue.

My harnesses won't be extremely expensive, not a shop so not charging much at all for labor.

lots of coloured cable here, with multiple options of coloured striping......

Thanks, shipping from the UK would kill me though :(. Plus at least for my own harness I would like to only use mil-spec, and would like to offer it to others. That is an option though in case I need some standard spec wire I can't find here.

Forgot to mention they would be supplied with a wiring diagram that lists the new colours etc etc.

I would definately be interested in one for my 78' 1000 and my 80' 1000G. Both would be with OEM connectors but I would need to see your finished result first of course.

Sounds good, hopefully the wiring comes in soon.

Damn! You're going to have a little business at this rate! I actually just started a possible frame up restoration of my '79 GS 425L. Was looking to make my own harness, but I've got little experience with wiring. I'm interested to hear how yours comes out... maybe getting one of yours is the answer!

Looked into it more, Mil spec wiring would make the harnesses prohibitively expensive.

The problem now is replicating a harness with the same colors as oem. The diagram I looked at for a GS1100 for example had over 40 different combinations.

What I have done is located a good high heat wiring & high spec heat shrink. I can replicate the harnesses but the wiring won't be an exact match to oem. Striping would be added by me to assist with wire tracing. Of course a new diagram would be supplied to go along with this. This that are seriously interested please pm me to discuss connection choice, etc.

Need a vote on this, how many people would buy a harness with OEM connectors but not the same color combos as OEM? (tracers would still be provided, just not the same color)

Might be interested in a harness for a 78 750. Color doesn't bother me, and I don't really like the OEM style connectors, lol.

I could probably use a few for some of my Skunks and perhaps a couple more for a couple of G models.

The problem I seem to be running into now is wire color. I simply can't order the 40 or so different color combinations Suzuki used (at least on the gs1100's) to make stock color harnesses like most here would like.

Would markings/a label at each connection be ok with you guys, with similar wire color to stock used throughout?

I would definitely be interested in a wire harness for a 81 1100e. I don't really have any electrical problems now (knock on wood, I hate electrical problems) but it would be nice to have a new harness hanging around. I'm with V8 Merc and using more updated connectors. As for the price... Material, plus your time whatever that equals.

The 1980+ big bikes seem to love wires. There is 42 colors in the GS1000G harness and 47 in the GS1100 harness. Everything else uses under 20 or 30 from what I can see. Right now I am just trying to see what the market is like for the bigger bikes before I spend all that extra money ordering the wire.
