A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

End of the Season

End of the Season

I know, it never really ends here on the Wet Coast; "there's no bad weather, just bad clothing".

But the insurance is up and there's a bunch of overseas travel planned. So while it wasn't today (actually over a week ago now) here's where we sat when I parked things for at least a month or two.

Vancouver in the fall is brilliant.

When to a track day Friday 10-23. It was my 3rd this season and the last. Sure has been humbling for me, sounds EZ when they tell you what to do, hard to train your body to do.
Kinda ugly day, cold and a steady 20mph wind all day. Several novices fell down, with only their pride hurt, but they learned something important.
This is another riders video, from the intermediate group, last session of the day.

Guess it's age or something, though I beginning to dislike night riding more and more.

Hey I went to college at N.M. School of Mines. White Sands used to blow up some pretty big stuff between Socorro and LAS cruces? Except they were learning to blow up peeps not pics.

Yup, though on the other side of the mountain. Sometimes when you got up really early in the morning, you could see a con trail from a just fired missile or rocket twisting up into the sky. I've been at the road blocks and have seen some test missiles fire away. Amazing just how fast some of those sum'bitches are. Night launches are really cool.

had to run to the post office yesterday then proceeded to get lost. found this cool old tunnel on a dirt road near the genessee river. i had to climb the hill to see what i was going under. looks like a very old, abandoned railroad bed.

Hope snow doesn't come till late November this year...

Rain tomorrow but in the 60's, I'll be out likely.

I'm glad you took off the samsonite luggage for a pic. Much nicer looking bike IMO without. Pretty pics buddy. :)

Even though it was cloudy and in the 40's (F) today, still nice to get out on the bike before the rain comes. Foliage is a bit muted but still plenty of leaves and color left.

From the road to Elkmont Campground in the Great Smoky Mtns National Park. Was riding out to swap vehicles with my wife. Love having this place in my back yard!

Thanks Trev
It really moves without the parachutes, as it should for at it's heart is the ZX-14 power plant. It's been an awesome bike. Coming up to the 7K mark with it. I take it every day even though the days are getting shorter and the nights colder...
Got some pretty views as I watched the sunset over the Adirondacks in NY...

Needed to grab some milk and a 12 pack before coming in... Low temps means I can keep refrigerated stuff in the cases while I'm at work... Should stay warm, low 40's (5'C I think). Clear night with a big moon so I may take the long way home.
