If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

You must be getting all jacked up there buddy with the working out!!
I'll have to bring up some saffron cordial to relax those muscles...and your brain!
I may be selling the ZR7 soon so some warm day I'll be up to cruise around on your TUX and dog you (in a platonical way of course) on the Haarrleeyy!
HAHA I'll be happy if I can get in half as good of shape as you!
Hmm Safforn cordial would be perfect. Especially after this last weekend.
TUX is here always. I said I was going to sell it and Shan told me "NO!". I'm doing some work to it now and running a 34mm VM Mikuni slider carb. Since I now own it forever (it was my first brand new bike purchase) Might as well give it a touch more beans. Guest room is now setup and can offer you a bed for your next visit ;).
I'm currently listing the FZ6 but no bites... Might be too early. It's a decent machine, couple friends are interested but nothing set yet.

I went for a little ride yesterday. 50? and not to sunny but I had fun. I think the FJR looks good with the side bags and the trunk removed. 👍

Nice Bike Norm!!!

DeLuz DeLuz! DeLuzinal !!

DeLuz DeLuz! DeLuzinal !!

Saturday, Son-In-Law suggested a ride... and I am happy for him to suggest something for us to do together, and better yet, suggest going for ride together. And he suggested a road that someone had recommended to him (DeLuz Road and others). I was thinking that maybe that road/area might not get away from suburbia enough, based only on my look at the map. He did not seem to have any familiarity with it either.

About to depart. 10am, upper 50s (8 am had been less than 40... with brighter sun and dryer air here, the temperature can rize quickly in the morning)

Well, I was wrong. In about 20 minutes we were out of suburbia, and into hills and canyons.
Got behind some traffic from time to time, but when that happened it slowed us down enough that I could sneak a couple pictures (waited until situation where traffic ahead was out of view around the curve)

Was great! Had a good 3 hour ride. Wanted to ride at least some of it back, but given the time and that we were close to the 15, we headed to the 15.
And found 4 & 5 lanes, full, on an early Saturday afternoon, stop& go 20-25 mph. So we split for a mile or so at a time, did that 5-6 times thru stopped or 10-15mph traffic, must have passed 3-4 hundred cars. About 10-12 miles up the road was a guy putting on his spare tire on side of road, then boom-zoom, everybody up to 80 mph.
THen on CA76 was lots of traffic backed up at lights, so filtered up at every light that was backed up, must have past a hundred cars.

Got back to do some other activitys with the family here, and completed our southern california day with burgers at In-N-Out.

De Luz Road, want to get back to that. Son-In-Law mentioned same. I said "when is your next day off?". He says, "Wednesday, Lets do that."

Hey Dave, what's that TV looking thing on your dash? Is that so you can keep up on your Soaps? Haha
Between the both of you, you have enough cylinders to make a real motorcycle! Just pulling you leg Dave, looks like you had a nice day riding with your son in law. ☺

I agree Norm. It does look good without the bags and trunk but they come in real handy when touring. Is this one coming to Bedford in June?
BTW, nice find even if it is a Yamaha. Just kidding you, I had a new XS 750 Special back in '78. Killed my 1st deer with it.

I don't know Larr. I was just talking to Redman about what to ride. Nardy and all them guys always ride new cool motorcycles... What motorcycle are to bringing?
Oh, I don't plan on deer hunting with any motorcycle.

Downs, It looks like a beautiful day in Greenville Texas! Glad you were able to get out riding and scouting.

I plan right now at least to be on my GS with it's freshly rebuilt top end. This should end the carrying of oil to replenish after each day's ride.

Man Dave... I would love to have a spare stead and a riding buddy in CA...
Enjoy the riding my friend!

Yah, I need to either relocate the GPS or hold camera up higher. Will see if I can do better.

Yep, two 2 cylinder bikes.
SIL says he doesnt like the BMW. I said, yah, it is quite different, it shakes sideways sometimes, not up and down and forward and back all the time.

Looks like stashing a bike on the West Coast is paying off. Thanks for the reports and pictures. Looks like fun.

Great pics Dave. Thanks for taking the time to share them.

I'm noticing yours and Steve's instruments (in another thread) and have to chuckle when I get on my bike.
The only non stock gadget I added is an old Casio watch held on with velcro.

I sure miss those roads. When I was stationed in California I lived in Lakeside and rode Wildcat Canyon quite often.
