If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

150 mile loop and discovered 2 new twisty sections of tarmac.
Lived here for 35 years and never been on these roads.
Must have been 50 plus new corners.
Fake news for sure.
Didn't stop to bother with pictures, had to be the most satisfying ride in a while, with fresh rubber as well.

i had to ride to a work thing early the other day and after that i was free to wander. got up to highway speed for a while on rt. 390 for a temporary roadtrip buzz.

Interesting cut on the windshield. do you have any buffeting sound since it's been cut down?

Great pics by the way. Love the old locks and all that green stuff everywhere.

The windshield was so old and scratchy I couldn't see through it so I cut it with a spiral saw. The wind kinda flows across the top of my helmet at speed. Not optimal I guess but I'm OK with it. the "ugly " is my work, cold weather, big road trip and old lady hauling bike.

It is finally warming up around here. I'm not saying it won't snow again but I'm starting to feel comfortable going on longer rides.

Got home from an 11 day ride on the 83' 1100ES. First time taking it on any sort of ride longer than 150kms since I bought it from a member last fall. Other than replacing the starter solenoid it never missed a beat.

Bike and views look great! Where did you ride to?
Would like to hear KPL & total kms covered too. Or not.

Windy day yesterday in Western NY, but I thought I'd go get the 850 inspected anyways. I always love going in for inspection and listening to the guys at the shop talk about the bike and how nice it is for 39 years old. They say it's one of the only 80's GS bikes they see in their shop all year. I guess we need some more GS owners in Western NY.

Good on ya for keeping the bike running! That was the biggest reason I turned the GS750 in for a newer bike... It was spending too much time in the shop and not on the road. It was struggle to do 20K miles in a season with it for it just constantly needed work... Herad the 850, 1000 and 11000 G models are by far the most reliable of the GS's... My 16V 750 was not... Served it's purpose as the $500 beater that got me to love the lifestyle of being a motorcyclist.

Now I crest 30K miles in a season, mainly just going into the shop for tires, fluids and pad changes. The Triumph though has not been the most reliable of bikes however more so then the Harley's from the years prior. But I'm always riding because I always have a reliable air cooled Suzuki in the fold.

1st track day this season

1st track day this season

Had an awesome track day!!! For a 29 year ole bike, it was KILLER!!!! For a 65 year ole dude, I was decent!!!
Was on the over run parts of the track 2-3 times cause I turned in too soon, front tire held it.
It was just me and younger dude on a Buell battling it out. He was mo betta through corners, I'm still not there. I had mo power and better braking skills.
Here's a pic from last year, same track.
