A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

LOL

Don't I wish, it's actually a home that was passed onto the the City, it was used for Corporate meetings and such, now it's just a little touristy area, with lots of trails around the property....

here is a pic when I was there with the car

.

Part 5 at last... this is all one road we went on that I'd never seen before and it is awesome fun! The whole road end to end is great, and there is some fun tight twisty stuff up a hill starting at about 4:30.

I have to do it again on my own or leading I think...

Went for a ride with an friend dig his 70s style street racer kz900

Went for a ride up the coast the day before yesterday. This is the return trip. For those of you unfamiliar with Vancouver. The bridge { Lions Gate } is the entrance to the city from West Vancouver and the park { Stanley Park } is the exit I take after coming off the bridge which pops out in my neighborhood. It ends at my corner store. { I was hungry }
YouTube said the video may not be available in all countries because of the Tom Petty music I used. So let me know and I'll change the music.

Good vid Garth. Music fit in there perfectly. I feel like going for a ride all of a sudden!:)

If my Victoria buddies were over, there probably would have been another twenty miles and a relaxing beer at the Long Horn's outside tables.....:D

Did you say beer? You missed Trevor and me at the Moon yesterday! Are you bringing that camera to Vernonia? You might collect enough incriminating evidence to blackmail some of us into supplying you with a lifetime supply of IPA!

And speaking of Victoria, here's a shot I took in Sidney on the Saanich Peninsula during a ride yesterday.

Sorry it's not the Katana, but it is a GSX! :D

Rally "Sturgis" on the River in Davenport today. The wife and the metal mistress. Heavy on the HD Culture, very few vintage. :( Still a car show on the side and a great day with a wonderful woman.

Part 6 is up now...

Watching other quality videos is making me think I need to try some music... I think my exhaust + wind noise isn't sounding so good... might have to roll out some ZZ Top which tends to be pretty good music to look at ride videos with :)

..pete- there's a couple of possible solutions...put a "hair guard" over mic's hole. If you look at outdoor audio recording, you will often see the mics have hairy coverings. This works best imo. you might also see Foam as a cover but for wind, it's pretty useless, imo.
Another option more complicated is to extract the audio track to edit or make a separate audio track from a windsheltered location on the bike and then match one to the video in the editing. I'm not soo much into this as I used to be but using audacity or wavosaur (free) for audio fixups (though Goldwave is MY favourite) then "virtualdub" (free)to sync and add the new track seems to give good results. You can actually remove various frequencies.... Everyone has their own system of course and vdub does need the video to be as ".avi" so you will likely need to convert the camera's format....

I like some music but it's really nice to hear the engine and road too.

Did about 100 mi on the XL this AM with more to come later. A picture for a phototag on another board from earlier today.

and even Kawasakis (?)have skulls on them. Nicely done! but I never dug the "skulls" trip .

Look closely and see the big trout below.

A little ride to warm up the oil in the bike so I could change it. 100 miles to Weaverville for lunch.
