A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I do miss So Cal... rode my 850L everyday when I lived there....only 17 degrees here in SC. Makes it hard to even go out and wrench in the garage!

Did a short 50 mile loop, where the frost wasn't hanging out.
First shot was from 1989, with a face in the rock and the second from today, 25 years later

Not me. Too cold for my sissy butt. However, on my way home this afternoon, I saw a guy riding a Honda Silver wing.

This was at 9 degrees Fahrenheit. Crap that is cold for motorcycling:(.

Temps hit 63 here today in KY. I was able to go for a ride without my space suit on.:D I had forgoten how nice it is to ride in a leather jacket and riding pants.(Helmet and other ATGATT stuff of course) So i decided to treat the old girl to a tank full of fresh petro. Went into the gas station to pay for my gas. When I came back out a guy was looking at the GS. He said thats a beautiful bike man. Looks real sporty:eek:. So all you L haters can just suck it :p. My 32 year 1100GL is sporty. Man I almost passed out. Ive had plenty of sport bikes in my day but no one ever told me one of them was real sporty. I guess it was just obvious with those bikes or something.

Needless to say this made my day and was a much better experience than the last time i went out riding which involved a state trooper and some crap about how he didnt see my mirrors so thats why he pulled me over. Then proceeded to say arent you freezing to death out here. ( it was in the 20s that ride) I said no SR. suit works just fine well below zero. He said well have a nice day and I said thank you SR and road off. Wasn't really a bad experience other than i was just out minding my own business and he had nothing better to do than to ruin my ride I guess.

Was so nice today I even went off the beaten path down some haul roads. I really have to get a dual sport for this. The old GS gets to squirelly on gravel. Ive been wanting a KLR650 for a long time. Maybe this will be the year I get one.:D

Sunny here today, boy we have had a nice winter this year.:)
Took my son out for breakfast then we toured around for the next three hours. I love riding with my son.:D

Good on you enjoying time with your son. Regarding the Beemer...That thing looks crazy long. Maybe its an illusion, but it makes my 1150 look small of wheelbase in comparison. Also looks like a fun cycle.

Took a ride out to pickup wood filler ( the poor craftsmen friend:D) for ther never ending living room trim project. Took the long way.

It warmed up substantially in NJ today. I walked the perimeter of the lake on the ice with the dog last night on crunchy snow. I also realized that for the first time ever, i rode a streetbike when snow was on the ground..I smiled and savored the moment..
