A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Greg78GS750 not available today. HuntB not available today.
So was going to work on redecking my mo'cykle trailer, was gonna work on it all day till get it done.
Then about 1PM I said, "ah, poiuueee", dropped tools inplace .... and went for an afternoon ride.

Got out the Shadow500.
First ride of any distance since I adjusted valves and replaced vacuum line to petcock. Starts easy now, and stays running, and restarts easy when engine hot.
(I had been embarrassed when Kjartan took it for ride and was cutting out and hard to restart. All better now.)

Headed to beach in Muskegon, and then north along Lake Michigan, mostly see wooded dune and lots of long driveways, but do go right along the lakeshore in a few places.

She's a goof-ball. I thought it was funny when I asked if she was going to smoke a cigarette. She said "No not at a gas station!"
(Oh no I hope I don't get banded for calling Cheryl a goof-ball) haha:)

Went for a ride on Sunday night to spot check my recent work.....The rarely used rear brake is now fully functional if needed, speedo drive works, and quietly, and the bike still rattles but less. The $1 throttle mod is quite fun. I know it doesnt increase performance, but it FEELS so much more punchy:cool:
Tried to get a picture of the bike under the influence of a full moon, but couldnt get a useable picture.

Did the Coast Mountain Circle Route 691.91km. Awesome ride did it in 2 days.

Did a stop a hells Gate. Rode down the road. My wife took the tram back up

Rode to work this morning. Discovered i had no rear brake. Guess I'm done for the year. :( I think the rubber shrank from the cold and quit sealing in the master cylinder. The resevoir was full when i got to work.)

Got out for a couple hours. Time for a restful slumber as she needs a little tlc, fork seals and a minor oil leak at distribution block. Still requires some final carb tuning but 7.5 lbs boost makes for a fun ride.

Had to go to a training class today, so i happily left the work van home and took the cycle. Took a ridearound after class.

Circus Drive In. I made many a trip here on my old 1100e.

Ruidoso Aspen Fest motorcycle rally tomorrow. Trying to decide which Tour Master jacket to wear. My AirIntake or my Touring jacket. Expecting some rain up there. Hurricane Odile got us pretty wet here. Rained all this week. This morning we see the sun lol.

HEY...I know both those spots. Glad to see a fellow BCer posting to this. Nice to see another collector plated GS, why weren't you at the GS rally????

Put in ~100 miles or so this afternoon once the sitter showed up. Nice 2.5 hour ride through beautiful northern NH. We are getting into the peak of the leaf foliage color season here. Not many pics but got these at a stop off outside Lancaster NH.

Only 80 miles today as we have a band competition to attend tonight. Stopped off at one of the covered bridges I showed last time in my other thread but I didn't get a good picture of it or the moving water wheel behind me:

No pictures, but i threw about 80 miles on the GS on some beautiful winding blacktop just north of KC. Perfect early fall day. Sunny, 75 and a light breeze and leaves just starting to turn.

Did a couple of hundred Km's with some friends yesterday. Managed to stay dry despite the clouds.

Did 287 miles to Ruidoso Aspen Fest bike rally. Not a good turn out this year. Way down on bikes from previous years. Pics to follow.

That over look looks quite similar to one we have here in Southern NM, Emory pass. I'll have to dig up a pic for the comparison. Emory pass is at 8,000, I doubt that is 8,000ft?
