A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Went for a fun little ride today, found this old Harley that looks like it needs some attention!:nightmare:

That looks really familiar. I think I went past there a few weeks ago.

You have a good eye Charlie. You're right, this is on the Chase/Falkland Rd. that you guys used when you left Henry's place to head to the rally. Weird entryway, cow skulls on top of a rusted old Harley on one side and more skulls on a cannon on the other side.

Went out for a little ride before dinner...took the beemer out first then showed some love to my 750. What a beautiful night.

As we all three had the day off yesterday, we chose to ride a little bit. It ended up being 168 miles. LOL. Plenty of twisty roads. One of my GSes, a '01 Bandit and an '81 GX500 cafe bike.
Surprisingly, the GX almost kept up with us as he had it singing most of the time.

Fall is here to stay in Victoria now, did the winter conversion.

Last week was cold.
THis week OKay. Been taking GK to work most every day. Is before sunrise in morning, so no pics.

GOt these pics from ride Saturday, not the GK, but I liked the pics.

Started raining when about 50 miles from home.
Got wet, (had chaps, not rain gear, doah) and ignition was stammering for a while.

Memorial ride for my late uncle...Boring poker run, but it wasnt about me ....
http://

my GS next to my uncles bike. His daughter had it fixed after his accident. The bike is a dirty dog with 79k miles on the clock at the time of his accident. He loved that bike.
http://

One of my favorite bikes there...Well worn, oily, dirty, and loaded with character. 73 Harley something according to the owner.

Oh the humanity......

We and a few others, got on our steeds and rode from Hilary's Boat Harbour down to Fremantle Port Western Australia, in aid of a charity run for Prostrate Cancer. The Distingushed Gentlemans Ride finished behind a pub, Clancys, and prise were handed out for the best dressed, the nastiest villian etc.
and when I mean a few there were 271 riders of both genders, and all age groups.
And I found another Gs850 in the crowd, much loved and high milage and the owner just loves it.
I'd add a photo, but the new software update to my Ipad has confused itself, and totally crapped out.

Nice to see this event making it on GSR in at least two places. Trevor and Andrew are doing the DGR in Victoria BC, Canada today. I must be the only DG in my part of the country?

took the t500 to nearby letchworth state park.

did a little off trail hiking down by the river. i don't think i've ever been to this exact spot before. great place to smoke some of the halflings weed.

then downstream about .5 mile and up hill about 100 feet. there were a couple people kayaking. you may be able to pick them out in this lousy cell phone picture. the cliffs shown are probably 200 to 300 feet high.

Wife & I both rode this afternoon.
Stopped here at a favorite mocycle/road scene for view of fall colors starting to turn.
