A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Do they still allow stereotypical racism in Canada? Someone would be staging a protest here....

Later this afternoon, I popped by Island BMW (where I ran into Trevor and his ailing 750) and took this out for a rip...

... what a frantic, insane, hysterical machine! The Arrow pipe screaming at redline, banging up gears through the quickshifter, grabbing a handful of ABS when I spotted a cop... MANIC! I'm too old for this kind of lunacy... best to stick with my dinosaurs. :disturbed:

Was in Negril Jamaica last week. This is my ride. Chinese 250cc trail bike. Good tires, chain, brakes, clutch and never crashed. The steering head bearings were another story. In the amount of time it took me to explain how to adjust them,I could have had it done. In 3 days of back country road driving I used a 1/2 tank of gas! Very easy on fuel. Felt good to get wind in my face !

My 49th ride this year(95% off/road) of at least an hour but most 2,3,4,5 or even 6 hours out. Trials bike and 4Tricks time, but 68 Honda Cub goes longest tours of Moab. Sucks to be you. If you want to see pics photobocket.com

I had to go up to Cobble Hill today to meet with some clients...it was 16 (62) and sunny today...just beautiful! So rode the beemer (nothing like getting paid to ride you bike plus milage :)) up there and was finished by noon so I rode over to Cowichan Bay for lunch. Hilary's is a favorite spot of mine, delicious cheeses...

A lovely lunch....you can see the guy by his Triumph Daytona...he sat at the table beside me...from Naniamo and had to get out for a ride...really nice guy...he's a paramedic that works in the Alberta oil patch..2 weeks on two weeks off.

Got home around 3....and took the 83 out for a little spin too....great day to be alive!!:D

Must have been a great ride if you needed a smoke afterwards! Next time though, don't leave your empty pack on the ground. :-\\\

Cleaned up and ready to ride.

View from my favorite road.

Stood in the middle of a blind curve to get this shot.

More....we got as high as 2400 feet...some snow up there but not much...

We stopped in Lake Cowichan for some grub and a beer around 4pm on the way home...

Thanks Rob!!

What a day! Hitting rain coming down the Malahat in the dark wasn't my idea of fun..especially with a tinted shield....Duh!

Buying this dual sport was when of the best motorcycle purchases I have ever made!! Broke my cherry today as I went down....lol...Total day was 275kms with about 130kms of that in the dirt...

Beautiful!! I need to plan more food into my rides!

Maiden ride on my re-worked ex race bike. Many, many changes. Hadnt riden it since I got it back from the dyno guy. It is Feb 28th and it was 62 degrees in Minneapolis today! Earliest ride ever. Bike carburated perfect. Pulled good from idle to red line,drive-ability perfect. Chassis tight, susp. a little stiff. Salty monk brakes work great. Overall good impression.

Fresh;y mot'd ride, so I could not resist, no matter the rain, that kept pouring almost all day long...

This was our highest point of the day, 780 metres (2600 ft).
