I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

I was out on the motorcycle yesterday, I got soaked! I had to take my friend home (about 30 miles away) I asked if she wanted to take the bike, it might rain? I haven't been on the motorcycle all last week because of afternoon thunderstorms. She said YES! She hasn't been on the bike in three weeks. I got her home fine. I tried to out maneuver the dark clouds by going east then south then back west. Nope, there was no going around it. I rode about 60 miles in a pouring rain. It was about 85 degrees out, it was kind of enjoying. Finally making it home, that hot cup of coffee tasted so good! 👍

Which bike, the 850 or 1100?

Yesterday I was doing some carb. tuning and wanted to check to see what kind of mileage I was getting. The garage where I do my bike tinkering is in the Boston suburbs, so I got on Rt. 2 and starting going west, planning on turning back after 25 miles or so. Well 115 miles later I'm in North Adams, MA.

Don't exactly know. I found it that way when I stopped. The rubber stalk separated from the plastic housing, leaving the light hanging from the wires.

Went for a quick ride today. I've only had the bike for about 2 weeks now.

THat a 850 ...? Black? (cant really tell, only see the shadow side of the bike.) Maybe the maroon.

Do introduce yourself more (typically in "Owners" section), and post a couple more pics.

>>later note.
Now suspect that the marroon, and bye the colors of the stripes is an 80 ... like the one I had for 14 years, with the same/similar grips.

Headed out this afternoon with clouds like this

Only got sprinkled on twice and found some wet roads once where had been raining before.

Found the River Rd still closed for construction, so allowed for this.

Waiting out a slow car ahead of us:) Toronto area.. Forks of Credit > Terra Cotta > Snake Road > King's Road. Twisty ride with a few thrills:)

Took out the ES for the first time in months. since maybe May.
It was sputtering last time I rode it.
All plugs looked fouled preride, changed them out, turned in a/f screws 1/2 turn, bike seemed happy.

Went for an evening ride before a thunderstorm rolled in. I was trying to catch a distant lightning strike in the pic. The low light I thought made for a cool effect, and the power pole off in the distance, which I didn't notice until later, looks like a really tall cross.

our crew at the poags hole hillclimb. it rained early in the day and so approximately 2000 harleys failed to show up. saw some of the best side by side races up the hill that i've ever seen.

Side by side hillclimb, that is something I havent seen.
I have been to Mt. Garfield National Hillclimb (nearby to here) a few times.
But was always one a bike at a time.
(For the nationals, they cut two different trenches across the hill with birms so have to jump them.)

Very good 5 minute vidio from this year.

300 and some feet.
that hill is so steep that cant walk it, have to climb or crawl, well, just lean forward just a little to crawl.

Finish line is now down some from the top of the hill.

In early 80s the finish line was at the top of the hill, and I saw a few go flying out of sight over the top. And I was told that a few went over the top and crashing down the back side.

2 and 1/2 minute vidio that shows the hill and grounds better in opening scenes.
