A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Nice, been thinking of making myself one of those!
Couple years ago I tried riding home with a quart of paint. Got home and it wasn't there anymore. Bummer, I thought I tied it down real good, never felt it fall off.

rphillips invited me to join him and some friends on a ride yesterday. There were three couples riding 2-up which was nice. Always good to have some ladies along. The goal was some pizza place up in the mountains near Chattanooga. Its a nice sedate ride through the rural countryside with good folks. Really enjoyed the company. rphillips knows some good people.

The pizza place had a nice location with lovely views. But in spite of all the pizza's ingredients having been imported from exotics locations around the world, it was only ok. Seems having lived in Chicago for 15 years has made me a pizza snob.

This ride actually had a couple of GS bikes. A pair of GSX1100s.

The ride leader was on the Goldwing. He'd mapped out the ride and was following a GPX track but he needs a little more practice with it as we ended up making a lot of u-turns :) The ZREX looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor.

One of his buddies was on this very pretty BMW

And this Honda won the award for prettiest paint. Picture doesn't really capture it, but there is a tiny metallic flake in the paint that really sparkles in the sun.

The view from the pizza place. The farthest bridge is I-24. At some point there must have been a wreck because traffic toward Chattanooga stopped for about an hour. Glad I wasn't sitting in it!

We rode about 250 miles for the day. I continue to be amazed at the roads and scenery around here. Big thank you to rphilips for inviting me and introducing me to his wife and friends.

Been dying to get out for a little ride..October been a very wet month here. Today the sun came out and me and a buddy went up to Maple Bay...great little restaurant in Genoa Bay that has an awesome road to it...

Man, two of you guys posting pics of those weird bikes with cylinders sticking out both sides.

.

Can't see the trailer hitch for the boat even, Odd.

Seriously, the pic from TN with the two GSX1100G 's Is about EXACTLY how a pic of my ride out rt. 15 (in N. VA) would've looked yesterday!

Thought about snapping a pic but too busy riding, worrying about where's next gas station because longest ride ever , testing out new fuel pump...Got better mileage than expected.

What kind of mileage are you getting? I'm only getting about 32 mpg around town.

Careful there Dave. One little slip and your bike will be water-cooled!
This started as a technique to get bike in picture frame of looking down the river. Has become something of a challenge/hobby.
If too steep or too slippery, I say, naw, not this time.

You're braver than I am Dave.
Maybe bravery is not the characteristic to be evaluating.

Holy moly Dave! You lost your boat!
Some may say have lost more than that.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . , Odd.
..
That may be the characteristic to evaluate.

wandered around oil spring park a bit. an interesting spot on native american land. i guess the oily water from the springs was used to stop infection and stuff. this plaque explains.

This big pig sure does prefer the fall air.
Went for a long ride this morning before it started raining.
A couple photos of the Sir Adam Beck/Robert Moses power plants on the Niagara River. The Queenston-Lewiston Bridge in the background.
Eli had some great pics of the same area only from the American side.

That's interesting Steve I thought it was just my imagination but my Z seems to prefer the cool air too....

The color of the Niagara river river is unreal, like nothing else.
Even in the old movie with MM, you see that unreal daylight and water color.
