DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Didn't take too many pics but I did ride. One of the most challenging rides for I was going into extreme cold and extreme warm moist air and the condensation soaked me... First ride of the 2018 season!

Nice loop for the day.

Now it's 9' and blustery... no riding today but ran the Honda for an hour+. Love that little snowblower!

Here's to hoping for that 40' weather for next Weekend. Plan to rack some miles as long as it stays above freezing!

Brrrrr!!!

I remember riding in 32F weather so I can't imagine 9F.

Thanks for keeping us updated on your rides!

A record setting day in the PNW, sunny and 57. Took the Connie out for the first time after getting the ECU flashed. Huge improvement in smoothness, the snatchy throttle is gone. Can't comment on power improvements yet, I need to remember how to ride first :) Lots more under 5 k though. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice as well.

Charmayne and I are both wishing winter would end now - the high was 14 degrees and we still had a bunch of snow and slush on the roads after last night's storm. I swear I shoveled 4 inches from the driveway this morning

I was actually entertaining the thought of going for a ride in last night wet / salty roads and all. It was in the 50s. We're back to cold weather today.

I hear ya Cowboy. The roads in my neighborhood are covered in about a 1" thick layer of hard ice. I've been trying for two weeks now to get decent weather to make a trip (in my car) to Norton Shores, MI to do a little pre-retirement investigating, but the weather just won't cooperate. The forecast is for snow again most of tomorrow (Monday). :dispirited:

I got a short loop on the ES, first ride of 2018, felt good and first ride since mid November.
First sun in a while as well, near 50 degrees.
Enough to rap it out to near redline several times in 3rd gear on a loop that Steve Baker apparently practiced on back in the day.
Whenever I ride this section I think of him.

54 F and overcast today and I went for an 85 mile run to regain a bit of two wheel sanity. Felt good.....

61 in Bremerton today. Unfortunately I had to load up the truck and go to the dump. Tomorrow is supposed to be unseasonably warm as well until the rain starts in the afternoon. Global warming has been good to us....

Took the Honda 600F2 for a short loop. Oil was lightly spewing on my right boot mid-ride, so I cut the ride short.
Came back to fire up the ES and found out our sewer line is backing up.
Just last week had the entire line out to the road redone, but apparently the city put in a sewer stub that goes nowhere and we tied into it.

Good times, now we get to cut up the road, woohoo!

We are the new Kalifornia here...
.
.
What is new Kalifornai....... 64 degrees in afternoon in January...? ..... 0 mph...? the smoke haze.....?

?

>>> oh, 64 degrees in in January in Washington.

Looks like a VW dash... I only know because my Girlfriend drives a Jetta... ;)

And Shame on you for driving the cage in that weather!
Passat. Made in Tennessee. 70k and not one rattle or squeak. 3 recalls though. Phone needs a new Camera lens, that's why it is so fuzzy. And yes, I should be riding but I had a load of computers to deliver.

You need one of these! Remember how roomy it was?

Nice! My GF loves her Jetta but I don't, I'm the one that does all the work on it. HAHAHA

Hope you do get out and capitalize on that good weather!

Dreary as crap lately, cold cold cold... I won't be riding every day again for a few more months.

When I get some mirrors on it... the p/o swapped over to a crappy bar end mirror and subsequently lost the originals. I have mirrors en route. :eagerness:

The King is the first one that I owned, bought when I lived out in Ontario and then shipped out here to British Columbia when I moved in 2013. I never planned on selling it but I really wanted to build the sidecar rig for my daughter and I couldn't afford to keep both at the time. It's taken me four years (and many other bikes including a different B-King) to get it back. This is an old pic from an "Ugly Bike" ride with Trevor:

Mine's the pretty one. :frog:

HAHAHAHA I was going to say, That's some ugly looking bikes right there!!! ;)

So glad you were able to get your original bike back!

I miss my BK sometimes, I just don't have the place and wide open space for all that gumption on the regular. As I've "grown up" I've learned practical low to mid range power works the best vs top end fizzle for my mostly mountain riding. Why I'm giving a honest go with Harley-Davidson.

The Bonnie rig is really cool and so is the VAnVan... and the Kat... Bikes are just cool ;)

My Best!
