DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Had a close call with a State Trooper, the other day, was merely getting off the freeway exit going the same speed I was going on the freeway 70 in a 60mph zone,

everybody else was going this speed too.

I saw a Stater facing south in the median while I was heading north. There was a cable meridian barrier (swiss cheese grater) blocking I thought, his ability to head

north. Right as I was exiting, a red older Honda Accord (you know lowered w/4" exhaust can) was merging on from an earlier onramp at high rate of speed, at least

80mph, but no, this cop wants to follow me instead. As I approached the stop sign, I looked left, then noticed a trooper in my rearview approaching rapidly, right as

I rolled thru the stop sign without coming to a complete stop-great/whoops! Where did he/she come from? They're good at that for some reason.

I pretended not to notice who was behind me & slowly "toured" thru 2 roundabouts, knowing full well who was. They gave up the pursuit on the 2nd roundabout, as

I chain slapped my way at 25 mph home. 1150's don't like going 25 much. Whew.

With temperatures in the 70' there was no way I was going to work! I had a plan last night to go to Cleveland for lunch. Well the ride to Cleveland is kind of boring straight roads, north south, east west. I decided to go to Pittsburgh for lunch. Much better roads, hills and turns. I went to the Strip District in Pittsburgh. I went to Primanti Bros. for lunch. That's the place that puts Coleslaw and French Fries right on the Sandwiche! The sandwich in the picture is a "Pittsburgh Rubin" it's a Yinzer thing is what they tell me. A Yinzer is a native Pittsburgh folk.

Today I let the Tiger stretch its legs a little bit. I did the proverbial "Ton" a couple of times. I hit the 550 mile mark today. I'm just wrapping up its first oil change. Castrol Full Synthetic. 👍

humm.. wonder if that means someone that says "younse" (you ones) alot, they would be a yinzer.
I recall my grandma (up the Allegeheny from P'burg about 30miles) saying "younse" all the time. As in "why younse kehdz tahk shoah fhunnay?".

So, part of your adventure is looking for intersting roads and unique sandwiches.

Whelp.... despite my best intentions, other then using the 1150 as a photo prop, and plugging in the Tender a couple of times, the thing has been untouched since my last ride on Christmas eve. Still wearing dirt from 2020, still in need of an oil change and chain. But it was 70? out today.....
I had intended to get a sunset pic in a scene that is only available for a week or two per year, but something came up. I went out for a quick ride tonight instead. Happily, the bike started with great ease after a three month rest.

I was a little tentative at first, but it felt too dang good for that to last. I just wish it would have been warm enough to take the long way home.

Kittanning Pennsylvania. Jpaul, I was in your aria last Wednesday. Does this picture look familiar? It's under interstate 80 on rt268. Beautiful motorcycle riding!
