A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I got a little ride in today on my new to me, ahem, project bike. Anyway, same place with same jet in the background just this time with the 3rd bike.

Larry!
Looks like one of those bikes with cylinders sticking out both sides !

Nothing gets past you Dave. I thought you might recognize that. So I'm sure you also saw that it is a project. New learning curve for me for sure.

Edit: PM sent to you Dave.

Nice day biking and hiking. Put about 160 miles on the little GZ250. Saves on gas and tires on the bigger bikes.

Up the hill...

And down the hill...

This is Canandaiqua Lake. I don't think it's officialy a finger lake but it basically is. If you ever decide to go across New York State I suggest staying south of the Finger Lakes. The north side is much less scenic.

Canandaigua - 4th largest of the finger lakes (Google). And I can attest to the feature-less quality of the geography on the way to Lake Ontario. Used to kill the engine in the middle of an intersection and feel like Cary Grant at the bus stop in North By Northwest. Flat and quiet.

Very fond memories of the 3 years I lived right next to the Barge (Erie) Canal.

Got out for a few hours today. Only pics I took was at Norris Dam.

They had some barriers to stop cars from parking here, so I assumed it was motorcycle parking. Correct Redman Dave?

yah, if meant to keep bikes out, the poles would be closer together.

although apparently my interpretation of such stuff does not always match the observation of nearby officer. As in my left turn last night was observed to be a u-turn.

Love the look of that Wolf pipe, Trevor.
The rounded arc of the headers and the rolled end of the muffler brings back fond memories from the '80s.

Ride this afternoon to Holland. Was a ship (600+ feet) comming in the harbor.

I have been expecting comment about such pics that have posted before. “Oh, you like to ride your BMW RT so can go see big slow things.”

is intersting to be close enough to that big ship moving slowly, can hear prop splashing, see rudder turn, hear engine (boiler) run up, see/hear bow thrusters making waves, and then slowly see all that tonnage start to change course.

100 miles of fire roads today, just to help this guy cross the road. Worth it.
