DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I was out riding tonight. I looked in my rear view mirror and WOW! Beautiful sunset! 20241004_185645.jpg

Interesting day today.
Some and I were going to meet for breakfast then go to the Victoria Motorcycle Club property to watch their annual Hill Climb races.
I decided to ride my 1980 GS1000S (aka Wes Cooley)out there. A beautiful morning and I was feeling in the mood as the old girl was running great.
Yanked for doing 127kmph (79mph) in a 90km (56mph) zone.
Cop was nice and loved my old bike and gave me no lecture (old guy on an old bike lol)
$196 or $171 if I pay in 30 days.
I was a little late for breakfast and my buddies gave me a good ribbing.
Then at the Hill Climb I won the 50/50 draw after buying 7 tickets for $5
$156 I won. Now there’s some good luck.

Maybe better next week.
High today 55degF.

Went up the mountain to one of my favorite overlooks this evening, same one with my GS in the current POTW game. Hoping to maybe get a silhouette pic with the Tiger in the same spot. But there was already a Mennonite family there crowding my shot. I didn’t mind. They’re pleasant folks. Had a nice chat as the sun went down. Older boy had a telescope mounted to a smartphone on a tripod. I did see a deer cross about 15 yards in front of me on the way up, and the silhouette of a good sized black bear about 30 yards in front of me on the way down. Sorry, no pics of either.

I have not been out for a good ride for a while, so on a nice 23?C Spring day afternoon I went along the coast.

This is the local beach about 1 km from our house with some people enjoying the sun:

This is a view of part of Walker Bay at Hermanus (about 10 km from our house), which is a world-renown area for whale watching this time of the year as whales come to calve in the calm waters of the bay: Unfortunately no signs of their tell-tale spray plumes were spotted while I was there:

Further towards the east, this is a view of a river estuary that opens into Walker Bay:

Cooling down here but I've gotten a couple nice rides in. I usually try to get home before dark cuz the deer are insane right now.

On the way to an early dentist appt. yesterday:

Yesterday I rode my VFR over to Vancouver for my companies annual Fundraising Gala...decided ride over as motorcycles get get on even if the ferry is full and we get priority boarding.....10c.....
I was the only bike on the ferry to and from Vancouver...babies...lol

Our Gala was a Star Wars theme...and one of my manager's assistant manager dressed up as Barf from Space Balls...it was awesome and everyone loved it! And we raised $350,000 for the society to help people access treatment.
And one of the speakers/entertainment was none other than the Godfather of Canadian Hip Hop.....Let your backbone slide!!! Lol

And then got home and got the 1100 out....new fork seals and oil and filter....these bikes....it never ends what they need.
