    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Now I know what it must feel like being Joe Montana sitting in the
pocket and getting blind sided by Lawrence Taylor. I was on Lombard
waiting for the light to turn green at Interstate Ave. I was told that
the light turned green, but cars ahead again stopped for some
pedestrians. We all stopped, except for the car behind me. Cops
estimated the hit to be around 15 mph. For a moment, I had no idea
what had just happened. Just like you see when a camera man get
knocked over during some coverage of a sporting event, I saw motion,
then the underside of my bike laying next to me. I was conscience thru
it all, but it so felt like a dream. Some slow motion, the drip of
some liquid, prolly gas as I just filled her up. The commotion around
me was in real time as I layed motionless. I didn't want to move
because of the pain in my thigh and the left middle part of my back.
There was an ambulance within 2 minutes and they got me in a neck
brace and hard board. The ride to Legacy seemed to take forever in the
confines of a neck brace and being strapped in. I was in the ER way
too long with only bruises and contusions and some really sore
muscles. I'm home now, OK, just thinking about the movie Run Lola Run.

Anyway, I have no idea the condition of my bike. I couldn't really
get a good look at it from ground view. It has been towed to wherever
they tow vehicles in accidents. I was hit pretty hard from the rear,
then I hit the car in front of me. As for insurance, I'm not
thinking big returns as it is a 1978 Suzuki GS 1000. Not just any GS
1000, my GS 1000, not that the insurance company will give a damn.

that stinks, man...sorry for ya. Im glad you are ok, though...could have been a lot worse, and as for the bike, think of it as the beginning of another project!
