A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

SO...LOL. I made the trip to Denton and fetched that free blue C model. Its a complete bike minus the rotted tank and seat ( which i will get pics of later ) and molested mufflers. Other than that its all there. Guy told me its been outside since 97. Surprisingly twisted the throttle and carbs are free. Engines stuck but that was slated for a full rebuild anyway so no skin off my nose.

All the hard to find parts are there..unmolested wire harness, complete airbox, great front fender, chrome on signals near perfect, you get the jest. Total gas was 35 bucks when i filled up to leave. I have named her too...introducing the DIRTY HOE.

Hey Chuck, is it for sale? I'll let you triple your money on it!LOL:cool:

I could use a twin to the one I have!

Not much savable from tank and seat. I can get the gas cap off and for grins take the cover off the sending unit for a peek. Seat grab rail is pretty darn good actually. I can mend the seat trim easily enough too.

Some OEM tools and some thrown in allen wrenches. Missing the screwdriver handle and 12 MM wrench for sure.

Through all that...I still managed to notice the single front disc.

Lots of work but hey...you got time, right?

I have a set of mag rims and the 79 tank and tail cowl. My plan is to do her as a red Cooley clone.

Chuck, if you decide to sell the wheels give me a holler when the time comes. I might be interested.

Will do. Rims and hubs will shine up spectacularly. Buff them when you cut spokes for the new ones. Spokes now are pretty well rusted beyond saving.

Three things, don't ride it with those tires, they may not be safe, be sure to change the brake fluid, it's already a little past due, & remember, The red & white Cooleys were illegal in the U.S., be sure to check with DVM, just to be sure it'll be OK now. I can only imagine what is going to be. Get to it, we'll be waiting

No might about it, I have been looking for a set of spoked wheels for My 80 1100 L, soooo#2 in line for the wheels.

Rims are spoken for. Anyone want the fairing before it goes to the dumpster? All items are free just pay the shipping. AS OF NOW these are the only things that im certain i wont keep. If i find anything else i will post it.
