A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

no, she didn't give me an approximate delivery date, just said that she would send me an email when they had them in from sweden. Delivery date is not an issue for me right now as i am riding my 07 RS Warrior.

If you ever get the deal worked out with Yosh for the exhausts make sure you post back. I'm running a stainless Duplex from the second generation Gixxer on my bike. Fits fine on the '83 and up 700/750 E models.

Will do, but don't get your hopes up on that one. It's fairly difficult at this point and the price which has yet to be verified could be expensive to the point of not making any sense.

There is a guy in England that builds ti exhausts for Bandits. Port spacing and diameter are the same as the oil cooled GSXR. I've been thinking about giving that a try but at $800 and no can I figure I'll hold out for another Duplex to pop up on Ebay.

And that guy is... Don't hold out on me now. :-D That is actually about $200 cheaper than I can possibly hope for with Yosh Japan, but the reality of it is that Yosh will likely be twice that.

The guy had been on Ebay a few weeks ago. If he shows up there with them again I'll post a link.

Still have some of these if any of you are on the fence. Delivery looks to be in the August timeframe as they are being imported from Sweden. Just in time to start collecting parts for the winter projects - as if there were any "right time" to start doing that. Collecting in my garage is continuous...

Billy, thanks for the link for the exhaust. Might be a nice alternative to the Yosh buy I've been trying to work to no avail. :(

If you end up doing some multi pipe order with this guy let me know. It would be nice if he could do a high exit. I'm not sure if he builds the pipes himself or not.

I haven't contacted him yet but I will. The Yosh thing isn't dead yet, I'm still holding on to some hope - albeit very little. I'll let you know what happens.

I'm checing into it and trying to find out how much interest there might be. I can probably get a pretty good discount on a group buy for them I would think.

Yup, if he does fab up these headers himself, and can supply an appropriate mid-pipe to accept a modern canister, here will be a lot of happy campers here, including moi ;).... provided the price is right, of course.

Tony.

Your shocks went out today. I don't know what the delivery date is though.

Just got back from MotoGP and a good time was had by all. Saw a few of the old GS's but by and large they were just as under-represented as my GSXR bretheren.

About the shocks... Yes, we still have a few to sell and the price is still $450 plus shipping. It will be money well spent. Do you need me to PM the info again?

According to the install guide these shocks will also fit:

77-81 GS750E/L
79-84 GS759E/S
79-82 GS750
79-82 GS1000E/S/H/L
79-83 GSX1100
81-83 KATANA

Also, would we be able to get a similar deal on the SU 145 model? Anyways, I am in(PM'd you).

Funny, I was just looking for pricing for this Shock and then found this thread.

Whats the deal does the 83 GS1100E fit in there?

Good question. I'll have to look into that. Is the GS1100E chassis the same as the GSX1100 chassis?

I agree with that last statement then it would work.

I'm Jones'n for these big time.
